I unsubbed Kayo the week of the GF (once I realised it wasn’t simulcast between 9/Fox) and will resub about 1hr before Thursday night footy. I don’t care enough about cricket anymore to keep it over summer, and I have Fetch/Optus so that has enough basketball, NFL and soccer for when I want to watch something else

Teddy gets a past because he handled himself decently when leaving. Didn't try and break a contract, didn't bad mouth the club.
Whilst it would have been awesome for him to stay, can't blame a guy for leaving for more money and a premiership

Crichton, Averillo, Niu cover 5 of those 7 positions for just 3 players, and would be pretty common on this site. Plenty of room for hooker stacking

I finally gave them the flick last month. After being with them 20 years, they didn't try that hard to keep me.
I have signed up to Kayo, but its a bit unimpressive so far.
Have gone out to get google TV at lunch today just so I can watch the thing on my TV without jumping through hoops. They don't make it easy to watch their product on a television. Foxtel is expensive shit but at least it works and is convenient.

The only issue I have found with Kayo/Optus Sport/Foxtel Go etc. They're not live, they're really close to live but they're not. Mates who have Foxtel and that are in group chats will see a try/goal before I know what's going on and it can ruin it for you. Just a nuance to consider before you make the decision.
I get around that problem by not having friends*

*Its true that I don't have friends that frequently live chat about sports. So in that sense its a complete non-issue for me

Yeah I’ve been paying around $40-45 / month for as long as I can remember - and have never had issues getting a new discount at the end of each previous discount expiring. I wonder if they were just struggling profit wise at the time with people cancelling due to COVID hardship and the fact there was bugger all to watch.
I have been to lazy to do the dance, so generally play full price for my foxtel. But having heard stories from others about how hard it can be to cancel, I am surprised how quickly it happened when I did it. Lady at the other end didn't offer me any discount at all.
Maybe I had a tone of voice that indicated there was no point, but they just let me go without fuss.

Good to see some close to full strength teams there... Where is Kurt Mann? Did I miss an injury?

Only took a contract with Raiders because tigers hadn't approached him. As soon as one of the senior players (i think it was Frah) found out he signed with Raiders, he called management who quickly offered something.
never wanted to leave Tigers, but thought they didn't want him because he hadn't been approached for contract chats.

they are investigating the possibility of a payment being made by the club to the family who's house he 'trepassed' (which the NRL was not aware of and would constitute a breach of cap rules/etc)

Imagine being $550000 under the cap and getting pinged for paying some hush money?
