If you'll be putting a few teams in on draftstars and have any of your own theories, would be great to hear them! Will message on here next Wednesday when prices come out on the Draftstars site.

NRL Draftstars 2021
We had a few people discussing draftstars last season so thought I'd create a thread for it. We'll have projected scores and average ownership again on edge.sporttechdaily.com & a weekly article with some general NRL analysis + tryscorer/draftstars value picks. Their scoring is quite similar to NRL fantasy so it's definitely the one I enjoyed the most (and Moneyball who had SC style scoring seems to have closed down anyway).

I discovered Draftstars over the off season... I only ever play the free contests and the free rapidfire (NBA, Horse Racing, EPL, Cricket, etc.) but I love it. I have won a few contests along the way. I can't wait for NRL Draftstars to start up!

I've only played a bit of cricket and afl draftstars for fun but really enjoyed NRL draftstars. Spent a lot of time on the data side for it last season and entered around 5 teams per game, will be doing a few more this year so will be good fun.
Anyways keen to discuss forward pack minutes and which players are on which edge etc and other strategy on here next week!

Yes what timing, I just finished 2nd in the Aus v Nz 20/20 on Draftstars !
I'll be around, since chiming in last year I love the extra engagement it gives across many sports.

Very nice mate, was that in the $15?
I've been having a tough time with nba and more recently cricket (golf has been ok though!) but went alright on nrl last year and always makes the games even more enjoyable to watch so looking forward to dabbling again

Yeah the $15, I have cashed in the last three 20/20 games, but tonight's was a nice return for 2nd. And 0.75 of a point off 1st!
I like putting a team or two in the golf, lasts 4 days.. and I follow the Nba very closely to, but thats super hard to be successful in. So many player swaps, changes, minutes.. it needs a touch of luck.

Yeah the nba drives me nuts with all the late outs etc just can't seem to get it right, I'll be stopping playing it now.
I generally only enter one team most events, into the 15 and then some h2h's
Golf is the one I've had the biggest cashes in and currently sitting 1st for the Arnold Palmer invitational, looking like I'll have all 6 players make the cut which is huge, don't think I've had that before.

Feeling a bit gun shy this season. Made 4k profit last year but won 4.5k in one sitting, worried I will bleed cash this season, may start the season as normal but if it doesnt go well drop down to $2 for a bit.

Thats the key isn't it, getting all 6 through the whole tournie.
Which type of h2h do u mean in the NBA?

Yeah can understand the hesitation, but reducing ur outlay could be a gud idea. It's going to change for us in the Nrl this year isn't it, the approach and which player type to pick.B/L wrote:Feeling a bit gun shy this season. Just the head to head options, there is another tab for them , $20/$10 usually but occasionally I'll do a $50. I like them because even if you don't do great in the main slate you just have to do better than that one guy you're up against to at least get some return. They're available for all sports. Enjoy them for NRL too

Re: NRL Draftstars 2021
I need to win the big prize on the first Thursday night game to get this thing back on track. Keeping in mind I'm purely a 50c-$2 player, I was up to over $40 at the end of the NRL season. Dropped down to $3.88 through the course of the BBL season.
It wasn't even that I lost my outlay in every contest, but I basically never did more than break even. So I either lost out, or broke even. With the amount of matches, the balance just kept dropping and dropping and I could never boost it back up. Hopefully a lesson learned for next BBL season... though I doubt it, lol.
Looking forward to hitting the NRL hard, though, as I like to think that's where I have the best shot at an type of success.

Yeah the payout structure is so top heavy that even when you consistently make the cash it doesn't really do much for you unless you're right up the top. Gotta have like a top 10 to get that bank up

Pumped for the 75k NRL Contest tonight! We've got tryscorer & DFS projections as well as our new try scorer portal all on Edge in the link below. Planning to enter around 10 teams - will probably favour the Bunnies left edge!

All good mate, we usually have these up on the site by Wednesday evening for DFS players & tryscorer punters.
So excited to follow tonight's contest - have gone heavy on the Rabbitohs left edge.
Good luck everyone!

Rabbitohs left edge was a good call, how did you go?
I went to bed straight after the game pretty happy sitting around a double up return across my entries, wake up to see there were massive updates that dropped me considerably. Annoying

Ah damn okay. Ended up around even for the night. Went storm middles and rabbitohs left but didn't quite get the combination right. Excited for the slate tonight!
