Leota over Lodge at least takes away the doubts of Rd 4 when Haas comes back!

Why are you getting rid of Watson in this scenario, he must be close to a keeper. Also, if you don’t start with Teddy, when are you going to get him in? Post Origin I suppose.

If Watson peaks around 650k you probably don't want to keep him in the 17 all year. If I start without Teddy I'd aim to get him within the first 5-6 weeks, or post origin. I generally don't make strict trade plans

2020 was the year from hell for Milford. He started of well the first 2 rounds pre-covid, with the young bucks looking full of promise for the new season ahead.
I'm not sure what happened during the lockdown, but the Broncos returned to the field a different team in round 3. Some may call this the Seibold effect.
Fantasy wise Milf's scores plumetted to a sub thirty average, he lost his Mojo along with the rest of the team.
Now with a different coach, who has a playing philosophy that suits Milfords game, things can only improve right?
Potentially add CS9 to the mix and you are of to the horses.

I personally have Milf as my 18th man at the moment. I'm not confident enough to put him next to Cleary in my team just yet. But I cannot ignore him having the potential of getting back to his ussual avg of 50 odd points, that's a 20 point boost.

Living such a long life has made you a wise wookie

Injury history the main deterrent for me atm. I don’t think he can go worse than his price at least

What's the point of getting Milf when Lam looks much better prospect for less than 20k more. Seems like misplaced nostalgia

I have Teddy and Watson. Now someone who is scoring 50-60 every week can stay. No doubt injuries to other players will occur.

Watson was purely an example on positionless bench. Point is you don't have to trade a WFB to Teddy, it can be someone like Lodge, Koloa, Watson, Lam, Davey, Liddle, Tino, Brailey etc

I'll be waiting for one of Teddy or Ponga to drop in price, then buy value.

That's what I generally do with backs. Not sure who is going to be in my final team until I see who gets injured/has a low score to bring their value down

Wonder what happens to their games if they have a falling out at home.

Lam did make it into my 17 for that reason.
I'm happy to take a punt on milford...the potential is there

I think Milford has better job security than Lam.

Walker won't start the season, but every chance he gets a shot at some point. If it doesn happen just hope Lam has made enough cash by then

MayorofAlburquerque wrote:Milf's a really hard player to project this year. His 2018-2019 +50 average was built on the back of 360km per game - which is not going to happen. Prior in 2016-17 he averaged 45 with 140KM per game. Last year's disaster he had 235km per game for his worst average ever but in that team its not surprising. Even in his good years he threw up a 20-30s every few games. Surely there's some improvement from the change in system. His KMs give him some base, but his potential is all contingent on converting attacking stats.  Priced at 32 so he's only got to get to mid 40s to be a success.

I guess the worrying thing is that Carty had a +50 season and we all know how that party turned out in the years following.

Personally i think he will be back up to 300+ km a game. Playing on the right side this year. Hes going to be the dominant half imo, despite the numbers on their backs. Dearden or croft arent going to dominate the long kicking from the left side of the field

Kevy cant even decide who to partner milford with atm

Its not without risk for sure. If the broncos are as bad as they were then his scoring will follow.

Im not trying to convince anyone on milford. Im not convinced myself. He can average 50 quite easily tho, if the broncos are competitive

Used to look at it like that mate but then you realise Teddy is +15 points over next best WFB and you can find plenty of value in hooker position. So Teddy and Cook around same average so I looked for value in the the other position

    Brailey 10-15
    Turpin 10
    Liddle 10-15
    Macca 5-10

Minus the base cheapies in the WFB I can’t find nowhere near the value and points potential

It will depend if there is a utility on the bench whether I pick a Macca or Turpin over Cook... etc...

Feeling now it's too risky to go without Tino. Fantasy 101 is don't skip on high owned players with big ceiling
