I could downgrade Macca, D. Fifita or Teddy to save funds for a Lodge upgrade but I don’t think that’s a wise idea..... thoughts??

Still 5/8 of the round to go, mate. I'd hold what you have and sort it out at the end of the round. Lodge is going to be a massive pain in my ass next week too, but no way I'll look at mucking the rest of my team up now to try and pre-empt it. For example, what if you downgrade Macca and D.Fifita gets an injury, or vice-versa? No predicting any of this stuff and sometimes it's best just to let it play out and make your decisions with all the info at hand.

Well, at least that's what I'm doing. But I am a bit of a gronk.

Trading three of which are likely to be your best picks to fix your duds seems foolish to me. Trade the duds instead me thinks.

Trade them out now so you don't use a trade.

Only if you have a good value option that you want in your team as much as the guy you're downgrading. If not just Lodge>best cheapie you've missed next week. Depends a bit what your mid coverage is like.

For me I have Crichton at #14 covering MID & EDG, and then Utoikamanu in NPRs. If I go ahead with Lodge>Mead for example, I'll either have to field Crichton at MID and have no EDG cover for a while, or field Utoikamanu. Not ideal, but I am quietly hopeful that Utoi can get 30 mins at >1PPM. Picking up a Fuimaono or similar is a cleaner swap that might also be appealing.

Who could possibly have foreseen the potential trouble with Lodge? I never understood why he was so popular on this forum.

you knew he was getting injured in the first quarter of the game? that would've been handy info to pass on to the forum, nostradamus.

I think he'd have done exactly what we all hoped for if he didn't pick up the injury, which no one could predict.

We could foresee a hamstring injury from someone with no noted history of them?

I'm 7/311. Still got some serious weapons with (C)richton, Teddy, and Tohu, plus some high potential blokes like Tino, Fog, Brooks. I'm optimistic I can crack the 800 this week.

Mahoney 109, Turpin 53. Ugh Riki downdated to 23.

Hopefully people will panic trade him. (I'll be panic treading Host instead, categorising it as "quickly correcting a mistake")

Moses 67, Matterson 51 other major updates. Much more respectable than they looked like they were going to get at HT.

Wow, shit, Matterson was showing 40 at the end of the match on my screen. That's certainly a favourable amendment.

I'll have some issues on Monday morning, but no way is Riki going to be one of my considerations to punt. Definitely bummed with what transpired tonight, but it'd be a bit reckless to hop off him already, imo.

I have a couple of guys that won’t even see the changerooms this weekend, so would say his 19pts is looking pretty good Laughing

Musgrove playing a similar role to Otu with Packer and Mikaeakelelele on the bench played 30 mins in 2020. Otu is a 115kg 20 year old behind the two same players. Just not sure if Otu is all that useful in that Tigers team with the prospect of Musgrove back R3.

Think I've talked myself into keeping Fui as a punt, don't need to play him in the 17 regardless next week unless Fifi or Crichton break down.
