Not a bad night. I Captained Cleary in Fantasy (192) and Teddy in Supercoach (312). I bet this type of luck never ever happens again! As I say, I think I peaked too early!

Even though against my team, Brian To'o       Fuck me the guy is just a bundle of muscle, LOVE watching almost a much as Vossy does!

I'm almost certain I was talking people out of Croker too in preseason. Actually now that I think about it, my words were something like, trap, trap, traperoo, enjoy your trap, oh no he's injured won't be able to trap people, he's back again and still a trap. TLT: Well....it's not like there's a bench hooker?

I'm not too fussed having him in my EMG. I missed out on the Lam and Averillo traps so I can't complain.

Just noticed Captain Clearly's 96! You ripper!

I had Lodge, Riki, Lam, Avo and Niu as under 40 scorers. I'm a bit worried with Lam's score however at this stage I don't think I'll be trading anyone yet (besides Lodge). Also I'm disappointed I played Riki and had Sitili sitting on the bench.

Can't complain too much though, I'm 805 with Liddle, Laurie, Roberts and Bird to go.

Yeah, I'm not too worried with him in nprs also, just reflecting on my thought process. Never had Hoy, Averillo or Moylan for more than five minutes in my drafts (Moylan remains to be seen how he goes), never had Host or Egan.

I've got Lam and Riki but so do a huge amount and they never left my team. I've got Jetski and Niu, but again I wasn't expecting much. The funny thing is, one player I had very little faith in, Lodge, was actually going pretty well before getting injured.

I've gotta say though, I've had a pretty lucky start. I picked five guns to start with, for scores of 96, 77, 75, 67 and 60. And there's been some other dismal gun scores (Cook, Api, DCE etc)

Moylan to Simonsson to free up cash for a Lodge replacement. Worth it?

I was never that keen on Moylan anyway.

873/15 with Liddle and Fui to play. Might be able to sneak 950 for the round.

On a down note lost over 800 ranks in the Penrith game with no cleary now to work out a way to pull my team apart to get him in ASAP.

I don't know if anyone can make that call for you, Seems like a gut call. Bit of a toss up and doesn't net a lot of cash anyway. I've got Simonsson, but like my other nprs not expecting much.

That's a pretty good boost to start the season, I've had a few setbacks score wise with Api, Tino, Riki, Hoy and Lodge, but I'm pretty happy with the cows I picked. I expect to bounce back once Api and Tino fire up.

I had already decided Fui was a trap.
Now my desperation is trying to force me to be an optimist, because I can trade Simonsonn to Fui and not have to play Croker in my 17 next week without actually losing a trade.
I just wish he wasn’t the very last game.

Round one, but thinking I've seriously fucked up starting without Teddy and Cleary. Seeing all y'all's scores with the same 4-5 players left, and being well over 100+ points behind - tough way to start the season. I can't even count as high as my current overall rank.

To'o reminds me a bit of a young Bruce Lee. Doubt he'll ever be in my team, but I do wish he was.

LAM probably hardest part of the day for me. Had him every step of the way and dumped him on TLT when he was named on the bench, despite me telling myself previously that if a prop looks appealing, starting on the beach shouldn't sway my decision. Frustrating I went soft at the final hurdle.

Missing Teddy's 75 painful as all fuck, but as mentioned in previous posts, with a hattrick in the picture I can rest well enough knowing it could have been so, so much worse.

TKO - funnily enough I was watching this match thinking why the fuck did I swap out Lolo at the last minute for this guy?! Fully appreciate he'll play more minutes in tighter games and I did accept that as the match progressed, but at the end of the Cowboys match that didn't even matter that much anymore. Just glad I dodged the Lolo bullet. One of the very, very few decent calls I made all weekend.

Lam was another one I hopped off really late in the piece and although he went okay-ish, kind of happy with that decision too. Though on the flipside, a lot of his dismissal from my team had to do with my wanting to pick up Croker ,which didn't go so well. I'm not really too concerned about this week's score - my main concern is just that being as shit as he is there's just no way he's going to hold that position. Looks like a waste of space, sadly.

In terms of price drops coming our way already, far too many to even mention. Going to be so hard to manage, though, with so many significant price drops already coming in first couple of rounds, and how on earth to find the funds to fund those pick ups, as well as hopping on most desirable early cows too. Interesting moments ahead for sure.

Not having Cleary this season, does already seem to be an early R.I.P though.

Glad I had Croker as 18th man gut geez what a let down, it shouldn’t come as a surprise I guess.

So. L. Croker, Host, Avo, Riki, Lodge and Lam have all flopped so far!
