Host was always a significant risk with the forwards they have coming back into the team and Koala/Arrow on the bench (although I thought he'd lose the spot to the former rather than the latter......although he does have some wraps on him, the big Koala).

Gosi/Davey is a different story though and regardless of who starts, I can see them playing similar minutes anyway.

I'm sticking with the Gos and going Lodge to Brailey.

He was also trash last week.

If every player who plays trash for 1 game got dropped, teams would have multiple changes every single week. There's a reason this doesn't happen, because it's ONE game.

I can understand Host being dropped or more to the point, can't figure out why he ever started.

But Mansour I can't even pretend to figure out. Trash or not last week, he's not going to have an off game every week. Host, on the other hand...

If Davey scores 50 he still only goes up 29k and can be a focus for trade in next week.

Reckon Ah Mau can still have decent production going forward? Did he get a regular 42 minutes on the weekend or was that affected by injuries and what not?

With Gos on the bench I can't see too much interest in Davey. Sironen will play 80 and in 2 games Davey and Gos have pretty much shared minutes so not keen on Davey until Gos pisses off or shows signs he will play middle.

Koala was killing it at 2RF in pre season according to reports so he is straight swap for Host for mine, then Lodge goes to one of the names I mentioned earlier... Thinking Leniu as I can play him on the bench this week and hopefully his role increases as the year goes on. Mead will make money but too much of a risk, Asiata has too many players to come back to be worth it, Alvaro I still see as a plodder... every other "target" is either too expensive or not worth it.

    Deal done

    Host > Koala + Lodge > Leniu + 37K remaining.

Hopefully next week I can stay safe lol!

Egan HIA may have affected Warriors forward rotation.

My dilemma is Leniu instead of LAM, or Davey but I'm leaning towards the same thinking as you - that Davey can wait a week whereas Ofa/Leniu/LAM/Alvaro are a bit more pressing.

Came on at the 20min mark (before Egan HIA) and played basically 40 mins then a short stint at the end. Has always been a 40 min kind of player and gut feel with the same forward pack named that’s likely to be about right

I wonder if Croker stops hiding in defense given its unlikely he gets 80 now.

Might score better in 50 mins.. assuming he gets that many haha

I'd love it if they introduced an EPL style system where you could use extra trades, but pay something like 40 points to do so.

I'd like to see something like 1 trade per round (use it or lose it) + 10 trades that can be used at any time. Want to make 11 trades after week 1? Go for it. Want to save them for origin? No problem. Want to run out a different centre combo every week? We got you bro.

Would add another level of strategy, and also keep people interested through the final rounds when they might otherwise have blown all their trades.

Koala makes things harder. Original plan was Lodge to Leniu which still is on the cards.

Question is should I trade Roberts, Bird or Averillo to Koala?

Still leaves Niu at Centre coverage.

I wonder if Croker actually goes better (or at least, not any worse), with a bench hooker. His only involvements were 34 tackles, 5 misses, and a whopping 5 run metres. Zeros in every other stat, which is quite remarkable. They were clearly worried about getting through the 80, I wonder if he actually gets a license to run with fewer minutes/bench cover?

That's what I'm hoping...providing he starts there is a bit of pressure from the bench and he knows he is going to get a spell so maybe his work rate goes up

    wishful thinking...he's shit

Will probably use Host to l**p and have a look at Riki. Gives me a week to see if he comes back into the 17, Davey vs Gos or if any cheapies come up next week. Hmmm

When arrow comes on does Murray move to the edge for a while?
I remember seeing him move out for a while so unsure if injury or purely to give him a rest

All three of these are healthy and don't need to be traded. Pretty sure Tigers came out after the game saying they want to give Roberts more early ball so wait and see.. Dogs spine have played together for 5 minutes, hold out hope and Bird would've got 50 without the missed tackles. He said after the game he felt good except he was dirty about the missed tackles.

Don't go blowing your team apart
