I've put a bet on BSmith to score anytime this week, so with that in mind it might be time to trade him out if you've got him. He's gunna have a dud game.

The more I think the less I want to trade this week.
I would have thought with 150k in the bank trades would be a bit easier to make

Rabbits outside of fantasy, are you happy having Arrow in the team? Happiness out of 10?Rabbits21 wrote:
I’ll pay that I was an idiot starting with Host!
He has not always played edge though Koala he did mainly play lock in his games in Canterbury Cup.
I can see why you’re picking him and I think he keeps the role but if Arrow keeps killing it Murray may be moved to edge. That could still happen in games even with Arrow off the bench as we need Arrow and Murray playing big minutes.
Su’a will be playing close to 80mins soon enough.
With Benji on the bench also and Knight back very soon I just think there is too much uncertainty re Koloa’s mins. Like one week he could get 45mins then the next week 65mins we just don’t know.

This uncertainty is no different to any of the other MID players being discussed this week.
The advantage of Kolo is that he is in the starting line up and therefore has a chance to be more than a bench fwd getting between 30-40 mins. I need a mid so Davey is not an option.
Wayne has a history of playing one of his 2RF for less than 80 mins (Last year both S'ua and Siro played less than 80 about 5 or 6 times each, but Lowe played 80 in all the games he was involved in) but thats part of the inherent risk.
If it doesn't play out how I want it to I will trade him out, which I will probably have to do anyway because I can't see him being a 2RF keeper but, what i won't do is play out a million 'what if' scenarios in my head.
The best pointers as to what is going to happen in the future are stats related to what has happened in the past and stats tell me that he has been selected in the starting team on merit and is a good chance of playing between 50-80 minutes each week.

Don't take it back. I started with Host and I am an idiot.
Too many round 1 picks this year that failed the "good footballer" test.
Personally, I was happy to run with Croker as I thought he would score OK despite being not that good at football, but shouldn't have backed that up with further guys who were also at risk of getting dropped.
I think we're all guilty of those 'idiot' moments with some picks. You can't get them all right. I' kicking myself with Bird and Roberts but time will tell.

I`m pretty certain on bringing Davey in, for my second trade I am deciding between Alvaro, Leniu and Koloa.
If I went with Alvaro or Leniu I would have spare money for coming weeks.
If I went with Koloa there is a chance he may sit on my emergency after this week.
Let me know which option you guys would go for.
Davey's a good choice mate. I've been changing who I want to get in this week so many times but if Davey secures at least 60 minutes (or the full 80 as an edge) he should go very well and keep that spot.
For the others, I think Leniu is the best choice as others have spoken about. Both him and Alvaro have similar output (40 in 40) but Leniu would have a bit more upside in his attacking potential and job security. Could easily start. Alvaro is more likely to be left right out and Dragons have a few forwards waiting in the wings to take his spot. Though I had considered just getting Leniu/Alvaro in this week and pocket the cash. But Davey's potential to becoming a gun EDG player is really sticking out. Not interested in Koloa at all personally

To go with my point above.
If I didn't need a mid I would say that Davey was a safer pick because of DH's history of playing 2RF for 80 mins. Gos on the bench throws some uncertainty in there so if you don't need to trade to field 17 hold a week and see whats going on but given you need to ditch Host it's probably a good bet.

Leaning towards C at the moment, any thoughts?
Assuming you don't need a mid to field a team, nothing wrong with holding Croker and waiting for better options I think. I am warming to Alvaro though. I'm waiting a week on Davey. I have to anyway, but probably would anyway.

Yes but its different to 2 players not coming back and down to 15 for almost half the match.robelgordo wrote:I think for people saying stuff like “he got x minutes but there was a HIA” you have to consider that HIAs are basically a part of every game now. The timing of when it happens does alter minutes/rotations game to game but I think it’s reasonable to expect that the main bench forwards might get a few more minutes than “planned” every week.
TL;DR: discounting 10-15 minutes extra due to HIA is over simplistic as theres likely going to be 10-15 extra most weeks

We all know you are a die hard Rabbits fan, but I strongly suggest against trading a player at all based on them being in the team you support, even if it makes their games more interesting fantasy-wise.
I would actually argue it takes away from watching your team play as a whole, as you focus on just them and their role at the expense of watching your team play. Just a few cents of input

I need a MID too but I don't see Davey any safer but with the depth between the two teams he probably is safer, if that makes sense.....which it probably doesn't.

If I didn't need a MID I would probably hold fire on all of them and buy Chad Townsend

If Lodge didn't get injured, I wouldn't be trading and have another look at all of them.
