NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 16 - To Milf or Not to Milf, that is the question?

Can only afford Alvaro from Croker but still seems a worthwhile trade. Should score better and make more money as well as likely having a more set spot in the team. If Verrills is in next week then I'll likely still have a few average cows who could easily make way for him.

I know Leniu is the popular one around here, but Alvaro looks slightly more tempting to me.
Dragons could do anything to their pack if they start losing, but i don't think he is first in line for the chop, and I think he is more likely to get to 40 than Leniu is, who'd need a consistent and significant lift in minutes.
Quick question old @Milchcow - if you had the choice of Alvaro & Davey or Lenui & Fui, which pair would you pick?

Based on last week he’d have to play 80 to get that BE!mrbrownstone wrote:
Undecided. Doubt he loses cash with a 23 BE & I wouldn't be surprised if a bench hooker actually benefits Croker by giving him a license to run/not have to preserve himself for 80.
On the chopping block but any trade feels risky/forced.

Holding him until we get a clearer answer on Friend - seems like a natural swap to cheap Roosters hooker if Friend is out for a while
I think Friend is probably out for a while but you have to wait for Verrills if you want a Roosters Hooker

Is running only stef as mid cover too risky? Was thinking Lodge to Milford and just cop Stef score this week till Angus returns and bank the extra trade
On the other hand could use both trades to go Croker to Leniu, still leaves me 100k+ itb for the inevitable round 2 forced trades

I'd go Alvaro and Davey. I think the forum as a whole might pick Leniu and Fui (I already have Fui)
I want to have Alvaro/Leniu over LAM/Ofa because it gives me a bit of a bankroll to make moves with next week.

On last week alone that is true, but on last season's stats he should be able to make BE as starting hooker.

I'll probably still pick up Davey or Koala next week, just want to see how they are used and their price won't move too much. Thoughts on Stefano? Worth getting if you don't have him?
Fair call! As one trade I'm not so sure TBH

Should I trade out Bailey Simonson or Jake Averillo for Diane Laurie? My only regret is not getting him

current forecast is for 60-100mm of rain in Sydney on Saturday
I don't have Fifita, but I'd probably captain him over Cleary if i did.

Yes. Daine Laurie is one of the few must-have cows from round 1.
He and Jayden Brailey are 2 people I would definitely trade in if I didn't have them
Everyone else is just torturing themselves over which mid-range bench prop to take a punt on.

Would you trade out Bailey S or Averillo?

Probably Bailey, because I was never that interested in him in the first place

Without question.
Which one depends on your team make up if there's any coverage requirements etc, but either of them for Laurie is a no brainer.
Probably Simonsson though if you don't need the wfb cover.

Is rain really that bad for a dominant HLF. If team can hold onto ball, probably means HLFs are kicking it earlier than 5th more often just so they trap opposition down other end
Was bucketing down in Dogs/Knights and Flanagan got 500KM and Pearce got 422KM

Changed my mind of Ofa and went Alvaro instead. I am not convinced this is the correct play but it leaves me with 189k in the bank which will be handy for next week.

Less yards made from runs due to less traction/slippery surface, meaning longer kicks?Camo123 wrote:

I play averillo in the 17 with not much confidence, thinking he is an emergency only.

Cook is quietly training the house down after an underwhelming performance in the opening round. Ideal captaincy option for those who have him.
