This is not a new thing, we've always been targeted by shit clubs throwning too much money at our talent, difference in the past was we had the pedigree and success to keep them at a suitable cost. Shine has come off that rose and we are one of the shit clubs now, but what hasn't changed is that other shit clubs are still throwing too much money at our talent - i mean how many fucking articles has there been about clubs having 500k+ deals waiting for our wooden spoon roster to come off-contract - which means we have to match these shithouse deals to keep them, which also means we're already tied up in shit contracts when the next crop are asking for money.

If your top local juniors would rather sign with the Warriors, you know something has gone wrong somewhere...

In saying that - 400k a season to a guy who hasn't played NRL yet is a big risk.
Sounds like Gould was the one to convince him to cross the Tasman though.

FWIW McGuire looked absolutely gassed after about 20mins last week, and so so slow (not necessarily anything new). Had some big hammy issues in PS I believe, so may not be up for starting for a while.

If Walsh is going to the Warriors, wonder where they'll spend the bulk of the RTS money? Hooker (Cheese) would be the smart move... they'll have quite a pack of so.

If defense of us (Warriors) we have to pay more than other clubs due to the fact of living in another country.

I mean to be fair it was well known Ponga was going to be a star. Also people that know footy know this Walsh kid is going to be a stud in the future, just about how much $$$ they throw at him

Hmm not sure what that brings with Katoa and Sironen and Tohu re-signed (even if he might be more middle now). They really need a hooker but there'll be a lot of competition for BS9. Maybe Warriors will bring SJ back but that could end in tears.
