Any thoughts on Simonsson to Alvaro

Is it worth burning nearly 120k to get better cash generation

Biggest worry for me is I already own Fuimaono and there’s always that chance that Simonsson scores some tries to kickstart cash generation while also leaving me with only Niu as WFB/CTR cover

IF Rabbits shifts Angus into the MID position then he literally has no cover for EDG if there are any late withdrawals (which may be unlikely, but obviously some chance).

The way he currently has it, or if he had Riki at EDG and Crichton at 14, then he's covered in the instance of Fifita/Riki being a late out.
Shuffling players round simply to give you the warm-fuzzies over your starting 13 is not a great strategy - I'm sure you know that.

Trade 1 - Schuuters in for capewell
Trade 2 - Egan in for Lam or Averillo

Likely Lam or Rillo will be in emergencies/looping anyways... struggling to decide who is more likely to make a bit of cash as neither are keepers.

Not likely to need either's scores moving on either. Am i missing something obvious here, or should rillo go?

Thats not what you are moving them for. You are moving them so that you aren't stuck with the scores of both Leniu and Uto each week. Instead you get to loop them every week. Being forced to take guys that are going to average in the 30s each week is how you go backwards.

Was just going to post the same thing. I get the idea but it feels dirty. It also takes away WFB cover. Means Niu as my only cover too but also means Avo has to start.

Missing a score completely is also how you go backwards.

Better scoring in 17 this week over Gosiewski/better 18th man should any injuries arise each week
More cash generation
Better MID cover (only MID coverage not in 13 is Utoikamanu - have Crichton & Fuimaono in starting team)
Potentially Alvaro stays until R13 - extra bye round player

Cons:
Burns most of cash reserve that could be used to upgrade 17 (however best upgrade is to Turpin currently and just short of guaranteed keepers)
Simonsson could Sivo 2019 me and start a try-scoring run (I mean even if Simonsson scores 50 he makes less cash than Alvaro this week with a 35)

Thoughts on keeping Turpin and doing Lam>Kenny for cash generation and better scores. Means copping Schuster and Averillo score this week at half and Roberts at CTR but probably getting 2 if not 3 of those scores anyway. Last I heard on podcast Api could be out as long as until Rd 10?

I'll ponder it. I think I want to get Alvaro in, just decide if it's spending up from Simonsson or trading Tino down.

I have Simonsson and I have no intention of moving him on right now. He's a winger, just got to wait for the tries and price rises to come. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

He can still loop him if he makes trades like you have suggested (e.g. bringing in Alvaro).
Alvaro should get 40's on most occasions, so can go straight into one of the MID positions.
Then he can still loop Leniu an Utoikamanu.

Even if he couldn't loop those two, I'd rather miss a potential 10 point turn-around then a potential 40 pointer by only playing 16.
