Agree with you, both Mitchell and Ponga were terrible there, despite having talent. There are some examples where it has worked out as well though for a player moving from the backs into the halves, albeit in different circumstances to the Broncos - Wighton, Hughes & Mann probably the best examples.

They really will need Staggs getting his hands on the ball as much as possible when he returns, which ever position he plays in.

Leniu slow burning his way into a bigger role and seems to be getting 2 stints a game now. Pretty telling that he came back on for Leota with the game on the line

I will be the first to admit that I have observational bias (as we all do to some degree). If a player is in my team, I am typically looking for confirmation of them getting the role that I wanted for them, (and trading them out if they don't get it).

Equally if I haven't picked a player and I am seeing the reasons that I didn't pick them being played out, like low minutes as expected, then that is typically the bias that I will have.

Its really funny how trading a guy in / out makes such a huge difference in your perspective of them and how you are hoping they will play in a game.
