I'm honestly not sure this week's score will make a large difference to my decision just like the previous week isn't either.Loomer wrote:
What did Tino score in the game tonight?

Lam to either SOS or Walker will be one I think, although I'm wary of picking up the non-dominant half in the Warriors after one good performance. On the flip side, Walker is an unknown quantity and can probably wait a week more than SOS can.
The other trade will hopefully be some kind of upgrade. Who and what, I haven't even started to consider yet with two games still to go. Without hexing myself, I can ill-afford another injury in my team

Now that I'm on my PC I can go into a bit more detail on what I meant by this rather than the cryptic response that's here. To me what's important this year for particular players is not just the number of minutes they play, but the period they play those minutes. In both games so far Tino has been rested before the end of the first half, so he isn't running at any tired defences then and he generally goes on to play most of if not all of the second half once he's back so by the time the game closes out, he's the tired defence teams are running at, rather than the fresh guy running at those tired defenders.Archer wrote:

Compare this to someone like say Paolo, who in week 1 and 2 had a short rest in the first half but was back out to end the half. Was rested midway through the second half and then came out fresh again to close out the game. In both halves he's getting a bit of a rest so he isn't a liability himself and then having the opportunity to exploit tired defences. He picked up a try each time and a bunch of TB's, incidentally he also made a tonne of tackles (perhaps being the fresher guy out during that period also meant he had to get across to more tackles while his teammates were too tired to make it). This week he played less minutes sure, but he also missed the end of the first half and then didn't get the rest midway in the second half so didn't get either of those opportunities to come on fresh at tired defences.
Now if Tino got a similar rotation but was scoring poorly I'd have a bit more interest as he's getting the amount of minutes I'd like, but so far it looks like Hollbrook is using Fotuaika and Peachey to run at the tired defences (completely understandable) and Tino's rotation has looked a lot more like wk 3 Paulo.
I mean I've got some other reasons for likely looking to trade him out, but the above is a decent part of it and what I'll be checking out in the cowboys game, rather than whether or not he manages to jag a try or some TB's against one of the weaker teams in the comp. Hope at some point in my incomprehensible dribble I've made a tiny bit of sense, otherwise oh well, I'll be back to posting short nonsense again anyhow
