I am in an upset tipping comp, where every week you have to tip a game that will be an upset.

Favourites are determined by ladder position, so tipping storm to beat Brisbane this week is a valid upset pick

During the pre-season the Mayor spent many hours on excel trying to project cash-cows. Things have turned out about 50-50 on wins and losses on that front (Alvaro's vs Averillo's). Here's how the most obvious Rd1 cows stand after 3 rounds. Don't know how successfully the formatting/spoilering will go with the post.

Titans v Canberra, Knights v Dragons, and Warriors v Roosters are all decent chances too going by that criteria.

I was flagging Peachey preseason - only guaranteed 40+ pts centre before a ball is kicked. Just surprised that after 3 weeks of doing exactly what would’ve been expected at pretty much the correct price, there’s some interest.

You would think I would be all over Peachey with Bird out and having to play both Niu and Avo this week but I just don't think I can spend that money on that position. I think I'd rather run cheap centres and spend the money elsewhere.

On to BEs and magic number

Pre-season pricing was based on a magic number of 13,400.
the MN for the 3 rounds so far has been 13236, 12686, 12331 so a steady decline, but it should start levelling off soon

Comparing me and mtb to the official BEs I've seen we are using a lower MN and Fanhub are using a higher MN. I'd trust mtb and myself personally
If anyone with fantasy-coach wants to record some BEs and predicted price rises we can see how that compares to what mtb and myself have come up with to see who is more accurate. (Can you see historical BEs and price predictions through the fantasy website or only for current rounds?)

Croft is out of his depth but I thought his defence was ok. Got me wondering if he'd be a better 9, simplify his game so he has less opportunity to take to wrong option.

I am perfectly happy running Bird* and Roberts at CTR for the medium term. Don't think Peachey is goign to jump massively in price soon. Wil hover around where he is now with a few bumps and dips after big/quiet games.

*Well obviously not Bird this week, the bastard. Averillo it is.
