Thanks mate. What's your thoughts on Roberts?
However, I'm warming to saying fuck it and use a single trade and use the bank to turn him into Peachey and be done. Worry about building more bank later.

I've got him (with Bird and Niu), and will be riding all three for as long as I can. I picked him in my original team, because I figured he'd go OK for his price. Slightly different equation when you've got to spend a trade to pick him up now though. I agree the upgrade option is probably the way to go.
If you don’t want to pay full hog, I’d bring in Momo mate.wolfking wrote:
Hmmm....Peachey could be the answer. His minutes the last 2 weeks are a slight worry but he looks to have secured the lock role.

Haha there is some shit scores there and some questionable calls
Week one I started Feeney over Latrell Mitchell and Clint Gutherson who went on to score 18pts
The great Feeney must have killed it in the trial haha
The following weeks he sat in my NPR and scored 4,14 and then got dropped haha
What is more interesting is in 5 years where are those players now, most are gone

Best get him now before he overtakes cleary
Seems to be running freely which was my biggest doubt. Doesn't have another strong runner in Cotric to share hit-ups with so I was tempted to start with him in the hope he'd pick up more energy this season but was scared off by how often he was hobbling last season and seemed like perhaps age had caught up. That said hard to say how much of last weeks score was due to our injuries, one of the things I love about Rapa is how much he gets stuck in so when we were short on numbers it was no surprise he put his hand up for extra involvement. But you know, completely unbiased assessment here, probably the best captain choice for the rest of the year.Welshy wrote:
Didn’t even realise his scores mate. Back to his best?
I'm bringing in Schuster, so my deepest apologies when he goes back to the bench when Sironen returns. Obviously Gosiewski is the superior player who should definitely keep his starting edge spot.my tv broke wrote:Looking forward to some "role changes" in the next week or two

That's awesome.
Here's a little gem on Jaelen leading into that year;
Jaelen Feeney (Knights half or fullback, $130,000)
Feeney is rated a strong chance of pipping Jake Mamo to the Newcastle fullback role for Round 1, in which case he'd likely also find himself in a lot of Fantasy teams at the start of the season.
Feeney had a pretty strong performance at the Auckland Nines until he was sin-binned for throwing a ball at a referee, but the youngster has impressed in the lower grades and could be one of Nathan Brown's big changes at the club this season.
Subgun PODs was my MO back then.
Eventually the penny dropped that loading up on Subgun PODs is a great strategy if you're happy to have about one good year out of five.

Depends if you want to risk Momo just being an early season pan flash or maintaining and getting keeper CTR for cheap or Peachey who will be there end of season for sure purely based on current role but paying premium now
He's a definite grub, which comes out at some terrible times. I think its just because he hates losing/being bested so for instance every time he is fended off I wince in expectation of some high tackle or swinging arm. I think he just goes wild in frustration and stops thinking for a moment. I'm at peace with the grub though, maybe it was gaining Ennis on the support staff, maybe it was the prolonged mediocre period, maybe it was the decision to import the super league.Snatchpato wrote:Rapa strikes me as a giant douche-bag in the same sense as JWH and Latrell. Just seems like a grub.
Great footballer though, seems to be putting in 110% effort this year so nice call anyone who nabbed him at the start of the season. I wouldn't want to try and tackle him!
