Exactly the decision I’m battling with.

On the basis of the first 3 games Liddle isn’t someone you want in your 17 if he doesn’t score a try. He would have averaged 36. It’s tricky though because he’s still making cash and we only have a small SOS sample size.

Boyle busted shoulder, a tiny bit more security for the Shoe (incidentally I'm happy if a dude I buy for $300k gets 39 points in a game his team gets flogged by 40 points).

I’m trying to figure out what Welch would need to score at his price to beat out Schusters 39.
From my initial calculation it’s 59 which sounds about right haha

    Slow afternoon haha

It’s a tough comparison though because cheaper players are always going to offer better value. At some stage you have to pay for points to be competitive. But the way Welch is going it’s probably not an unfair comparison. Unfortunately he is one of my potential problems next week.

I’m locking Welch in for a try this week. He’s in my team so probably wishful thinking.

Liddle is terrible, but with another low breakeven the guy is still gonna slowly make some bank. SOS seems like he could make more of it a lot faster.

It does feel like a sideways trade though

    For Sure.

I have too many centre issues, otherwise I’d be looking at Egan.

To be honest I just kept him this week in the hope he’s scores a try and gets a few Tbs

Unless you need a center cover, looks like a good trade IMO.

I’ll put it here just for giggles.

    Schuster: $363,000 / 39 = $9,308 per point
    Welch: $554,000 / $9,308 = 59

Don’t know if that’s correct but oh well.

    I think you're overthinking it

39 essentially in base (1 offload) is nothing to sneeze at and the ~200k probably going to help your upgrades

Still making over 50k this week

You will also find zero posts from anyone assuming Cleary will average 80+

Most who started with him did so as the only 70+ average from 2020 fit to start the season, not on the expectations of a big boost in scoring.

Anything else is rewriting history with the benefit of hindsight

Do we have the resourcing available to go through those posts? We've only got a couple hundred members. I don't think we'd have the time.
