To those wanting to bring in LAM I don’t think I would do it as he’s priced too awkwardly now.

I can’t look at a guy like Moses yet as my cows still haven’t made enough dollars yet.

I have 28 trades and 139k spare, would you guys be making a trade on my team or holding:

    Team is:

    Macca
    Angus Watson Alvaro
    Fifita Riki
    Cleary Schuster
    Momo Roberts
    Teddy Pap Laurie

    Brailey Turpin Liddle S. Walker
    Leniu Uto Niu Simonsson

Monster squad. If you could turn Simonsson into a gun MID you'd be set, but obviously that won't work this week, so I wouldn't try to force anything else, that I can see.

Not sure if it's a wise use of your cash, but I do notice you can do Simonsson to SOS. Not sure that's worth using your bank to get the dollars rolling in again.

Bit left field is bringing Lussick in for Simonsson, again, just to get some cash generation. Though his job security could be a bit of a question mark when Lam returns?

    @wolfking @Mulvy @Welshy

I'd Hold trades. On Reynolds, hopefully something gets worked out. Should retire a rabbit. Don't be surprised if you see Titans and Tigers in the press for Reynolds in the not to distant future.

Don't know if it's already been said, but just looking at The Tigers squad for this weekend I think Joey Leilua will come in for Mbye, who in turn will revert back to the bench squashing any chance that Liddle gets 80 minutes.

Would have given them no chance with a fit AFB. Still hard to see them winning but catching warriors at a decent time. What’s it relate to. Schuster vs SOS for starting role?

    Considering that one myself

No way, Joey has been crap since he arrived. Simpkin in 14 has always been the plan, he just needed to play some football first.

GreenMachine wrote:We are all just living in MS’ world, but here is the alternate reality...

    Pre Season

Get excited, build 613 drafts, shifting players in based on trial highlights.
Lock in the fastest guy at Nines.
Have grand plans around stashing in 18-21 your favourite talent for this season regardless of team lists, instead buying him in round 4, when 80k more expensive.
Use bye planner and ensure you have all the best brits and Kiwis and have a core of R13 players.
Tinker with about 40 different middies that are at least 10pts under priced but then write posts to ask others how many >750k mega guns they have, adjusting your team until you win.
Review first team lists set and drop more than half your squad and ensure you have people like Simonsson and Averillo.
Get rid of your favourite stash player.
Drop the fast guy from nines before he is named in round 2 or 3.
Throw out the window any bye plans, getting all the FOMO origin stars, as you can deal with all that later.
Panic buy and captain someone in the first match of the season because you’ve had 4 tins.

    Pre-Origin

Max trade for 8-10 weeks convincing self that fixing your team early is key.
Drop any and all players you actually didn’t like much, irrationally at the first sub 60 score.
Drop that guy you got in for the first match
    Cycle through 11 different centres
Get that guy you dropped back after he scores 75, because others were right, and what’s one trade.
Freak out closer to origin that you’ve used too many trades
    Drop your origin season keepers
Enter R13 with the bare 13, one of them under an injury cloud

    Post Origin

Get back your origin keepers ASAP, having 3 less of them than you started with.
Run out of trades missing 4-5 must haves and being left with Havili in your best 17.
Fade the last 5 weeks to injuries and suspensions
Start building your FPL squad and focus on your NFL dynasty team
Stop reading the forum because people still have trades left and are discussing BEs
Field 14 players in the final 2 weeks

Disclaimer: While fun early, following this advice causes much late distress, but you already know this, because over 80% of the above is how you already play

Bloody Brilliant, takin the piss out of a few on here and overall wrapping up a full season for a lot of us. Laughing

What do we think Jazz gets minutes wise for the next 6-8 weeks? Should see plenty this week, but with JTB and Bunty back next week does he go back to ~45 minutes? We don’t know what’s happening with Sironen yet do we? He probably affects Jazz’s minutes too.

Good squad but BJones from the Knights? That's deadweight, and also you have no WFB or CTR cover. I'd trade Jones to a centre you're happy with running and stash Niu on the bench.

Also, Cheese is coming to the end of his useful life with Grant back. Not an urgent sell, but could free up a little more money going to Tino/Radley.

And it's a judgement call but I'd personally play Riki in my 17 ahead of SOS, Walker or LAM.

Liddle isn't getting 80 either way. MCK likely comes on at hooker, or goes to CTR and Mbye moves to hooker

With Liddle looking definite #17, with that bench especially, what do us idiots with all the halves do then with HLF2

Have all of Walker, Schuster, SOS

    Currently leaning SOS

Not so sure on Liddle as definite #17. Looks to be scoring in the 30s without a try and hitting 50 if he scores a try. I would expect both Walker and Schuster to score more than him on average. I have both of them in my 17 with Liddle at 18.

Can’t bring myself to ever bench a handy hooker if I think they are chance of 80mins

Using the word Handy to make it clear Lachy Croker doesn’t count
