Thinking either Radley or LAM. LAM much cheaper and should see an increased role (maybe not minutes, but definitely becomes more important to the warriors) with AFB down. Radley more expensive but looked the goods end of last year and should also see more involvement with roosters injuries.

Need to ditch Kolo. Have enough in the bank to go up to $560.

I lose cover but I need to start earning some cash and Simonsson/Averillo have been disappointing. Who would you trade?
TU: Simonsson
TD: Averillo
I voted for Simonsson even though I traded Averillo last week and held Simonsson. My rational for my own trade was that Simonsson is one big week away from a bunch of price rises. But now I'm stuck with him doing sweet f all until then and Averillo could provide centre cover.

While thats true he would be building up his game fitness, he isn't big but does all the fundamentals right
The roosters don't have a lot choice to be fair, and he hasn't done anything wrong to change what is currently working
In the interview before the sharks game he mentions he was gassed and needed a breather so think it will be more of the same going forward
You are the Roosters man, but simply being in a winning team with strike power will give him some opportunites like the odd try/try assist
If he can be a poor mans Liddle then that will be enough, at worst no different than the mid coin goats people frothed over a few weeks ago
Hmm, didn't realise Verrills is out til round 8 to 10.
Lussick, for almost 100k cheaper than SOS, doesn't look like the worst option, as he'd be an NPR for me anyway, but there is also Keighran and Lam who could return sooner and affect Lussick (Keighran 14, or Lam to 6, Hutch to 14 for example)
Hmm..that extra 90k or so would go well elsewhere in a couple of weeks.

Interested to see responses to this. I have Roberts/Niu and no centre cover (traded Avo out last week). Thinking about pissing away 100k to turn Simo into Bird and stash Niu down to EMG. I really dont want to be forced looking into centre cover one week when I have other trades I like - cows will be fat soon.
BCT05 wrote:I committed to this approach, running two centres (Roberts and Niu) with no cover when I traded out Avo last week. I'm not going to use a trade on a centre until I have to now (with a Peachey or similar who can help mid too maybe being the only exception). You never know, Niu and Roberts could go 10 weeks without missing a game.
I think it's a fair approach (and my situation came from dumping Avo last week too - which I understood at the time).
The problem for me, is it's the cover for all back five players.
My normal back 5 up to Round 3 was: Roberts, Avo, Teddy, Pap, Laurie - with Niu as DPP cover.
In the last three rounds 3/5 of those players have missed a game (fortunately, just one each week).
I think I'd just rather make a proactive trade in advance, than a reactive trade when someone misses a game or two for some random reason

Nah, I'm waiting as well but given the time frame I wouldn't expect to hear until the last possible minute. I have him parked in 17 just in case.

I was looking at Lussick pre-TLT, in anticipation of Friends retirement. Surprised he hasn't been mentioned until now.
In the end I decided against - I get Paix/Clark vibes where 5-6 weeks of solid scoring could end up only 2-3 weeks with Keighran, Lam back sooner than Verrills.
And then to continue the lessons from 2020, I've elected SOS as my Fog selection instead.

Im not sure I see SOS continuing 45+ Scores which means if he starts scoring 40s he only earns another 100k which Lussick will do for 180k less. Big difference is that SOS will be more reliable in your 17.

Re the captain roulette – I look at it like this…
Cleary will average around 70-75 by years end and I would rather bank that in as a captains score every week then to gamble on a back or second row going gangbusters. That is what you do when Cleary is out for injury or off for Origin. Yes it is great when it comes off, ALA last week, but I would much rather Cleary’s 70 then be stuck with Pappy/Teddy/Fifita going for a 50-60…
I would strongly consider Brailey, but I have a feeling he comes back down to earth soon, so until he does it for a full season it’s not on my mind.
TL;DR – I didn’t pay overs for the person with the highest average in the game, not to captain him every week he is available.

Those that have SOS, what average are you expecting from him going forward?

I think Crichton will tonne up this week against townsend and Sharkies forward pack whom seem to miss a few tackles. Sharks also play through the middle so plenty of tackles up for grabs.
