Oh didn’t realise the price was low 400s. Well that’s an interesting option. Is it worth paying 100k more than Hampton though? I suppose the points you alluded to would say yes

That's the thing. Plus Hampton has a bit of coin to make.

Yeah it’s a tough one. I do prefer the fact he plays in a good footballing team that scores a lot of points on a good day

Load of the club presidents have already resigned, will get very interesting from here on in.

Love how Spurs were part of the breakaway! Like having fucking banana man as part of the avengers!!

Oy, no need to get personal. Would have thought the Welsh connection at Spurs might have bought us a bit of sympathy from you!

Agree the whole thing is despicable. Brings back bad memories of the super league war here.

Just a reminder this is all a business. Saw a tweet this morning saying no surprise the clubs involved are mainly US-owned or stock market listed. Chelsea and City just happen to be owned by oligarchs/royal families who don’t need the cash, which explains why they were first rats to jump off the sinking ship.

The German model of guaranteeing majority member ownership is a good one. Having said that, Souths has done ok with only 25 per cent member ownership. But Rusty is a fan first and foremost and not in it for the money.

On the ESL, I've read that the English clubs were paid by UEFA to back out of it.

They won't get punished at all, and the Champions League will just slowly morph into the Super League anyway. Changes being brought in aren't an improvement

Matto being listed in NSW Cup.. is this a sign Papa will remain a starter in the team, one way or another?

If so, is he going to be a season gun-keeper?

That's big news. Maybe it's to get a full game under his belt before getting back into the NRL. I am holding off for one week to see how it plays out for the I Pap trade. For me there is no rush anymore. I have already missed the boat re:price. He is already at a premium price, I am not buying him at huge unders so why take the risk, that next week he may go to bench and punch out 40's and the occasional 50. Not worth it in my opinion for a guy now priced where he is.

If he keeps that starting spot then that's another story...

Matto in NSW cup may have something to do with Eels playing in Darwin and having to fly today?

Maybe just not worth travelling in case he's not 100% ?

BE 16, so he's still going up a lot more next week. I'm almost keen to take the gamble this week over Haas.

With IPap, his scores the last three weeks have been inflated by four tries. Looking back at his first three weeks without tries, he averaged 55 which is more or less what he’s priced at now.

Anybody looked at BMoz? Similar price to Teddy but averaging 13 points more. This is the first year I started with Teddy.... seems a mistake in hindsight

*I won't be going with BMoz, but he looks interesting

11 tries in 5 games. Gonna go out on a whim and say that isn’t sustainable..

Wonder if an early release would be on the cards for Chad. Cows get Chad, let Clifford go to Knights...

And for those without Cleary, one wise old poster (can’t remember who) posted a few weeks ago about the cons of chasing a missing gun. Basically, you can’t get those points back and have to now pay premium dollars, so you will always be behind those that started with him. That has proven - so far - to be a mistake but i reckon the strategy now has to be to zig while everyone else is zagging. Use the money everyone else has tied up in Cleary to grab other guns, and hope to make ip ground that way. Once you get him, you’ve locked in the disadvantage of not starting with him forever...
