robelgordo wrote:You guys are moving fast today. I briefly skimmed that ownership table the Cow linked like 5 pages ago, but seems that while Papy, Fifita, Latrell, iPap are obvious drivers for an early high rank, the underrated one is... the Chad.

And it makes sense because for the same price as another popular pick (say Lam) you're getting a 60 average. That's 25-30pts per week, 1 saved trade, and ~225k cash gen so far for one correct decision on what was, in theory, a 50/50 call.

Good pick up and something I saw as well. They were both priced exactly the same at the start of the year. I went with Lam and I reckon a large part of my decision was the old 'familiarity breeds contempt'. Chad is generally a steady 40-45 point player so it was easy to overlook the extra KM etc he was in for with SJ out for the first 6-7 rounds and be blinded by the allure of the 'unknown quantity' and the limitless opportunity of Lam.

We had all the information to make the sensible choice but choose to ignore it because it was too boring Laughing

With MCK* in CTR, maybe (just maybe) Roberts actually sees some ball this week and actually does something

(Mbye on bench could easily swap to CTR)

*I take no responsibility if Roberts scores 15 again Laughing

Covid travel restrictions coming into play. Might be trapped in the Hamptons.

I have a gut feeling it's going to blow up, Hampton.

Perplexed at what else to do. Good thing I'm in it for the shits n' giggles, as I'm no good at this caper.

I've ended up with a reconditioned turbo. Hopefully doesn't blow again.

I can go Tommy T in for Pap but come origin when both Teddy and Tommy T are rested in the same round I’m screwed.

    That’s my concern.

I also don’t have as many Round 13 players as others do!

Jele wrote:And for those without Cleary, one wise old poster (can’t remember who) posted a few weeks ago about the cons of chasing a missing gun. Basically, you can’t get those points back and have to now pay premium dollars, so you will always be behind those that started with him. That has proven - so far - to be a mistake but i reckon the strategy now has to be to zig while everyone else is zagging. Use the money everyone else has tied up in Cleary to grab other guns, and hope to make ip ground that way. Once you get him, you’ve locked in the disadvantage of not starting with him forever...

If Pap is out the two weeks though he also does not play the round 13 either so he best case scenario only plays 4 out of the next 7 games...... if I was to bring Douiehi in he if fit plays 7 of the next 7 games!
