Like many I am in need of a WFB to field 17 this week. Planned trades are Riki > Hampton, and Niu > Simpkin, which lets me field 17 this week and have some centre cover going forward.

Leaves me with 27 trades, and 385k ITB to upgrade Smith or whoever else peaks in the next week or 2. Having saved some trades early I'm hoping to get Verills and Blore and a couple of R13 guns over the next month.

    Current team:

    Brailey
    Watson, Smith, Lodge
    Fifita, Schuster
    Cleary, Fogarty
    Bird, Roberts
    Tedesco, Laurie, Hampton

    Crichton, Turpin, Simpkin, Papenhuyzen
    Walker, Utoikamanu, Croker, O'Sullivan

Did consider spending the bank and not getting Simpkin, but this feels like the better move long term.

    Thoughts?

There was a short mention on the Matty Johns podcast about Gal sparing with some pros during his playing days. The general consensus was that he didn't have great technique, but couldn't be kept away because he had a motor that just didn't stop making it impossible for them to actually go back at him. No surprise that once he had time to train and pick up some technique he is going well

Chris Garry seems to think the Cowboys are favourites to sign Dearden. The Broncos are supposed to have had a meeting with him this week, not sure if there was any outcome to that.

If Dearden does sign with the Cowboys then Croft might just hold a spot in the halves... big gamble though because he's not a good player.

Mentioned previously went brought up earlier but still got fairly high BE of 45 (Milchy's BEs) from bench appearances, so cash-making not going to happen immediately, so would have to be certain on points + JS

Absolutely do not rate him in the slightest. But his fantasy scores are good this season playing 80. If Dearden goes then Milf returns and there go the big KM base. So all in all, not worth it mate

On the hunt for a new MID and I keep going back to Thompson. 600k for an average around the 55 mark seems like a good buy.

I can afford anyone but just think he's a bit of value

How do we reckon Darwin heat will effect fantasy scoring, if at all?

Isn't really anything new at the moment. Played Q Cup last week and had a quiet game. Named to play there again this week.

Humidity could make it a scrappy game due to errors ?

All else being equal should mean halves have a chance to run at the back end of the game. Wouldn't take anything majorly from it but I'll be on Moses ATS

Yeah by all means I'd never say he is killing it and world class, it is what it is, a bit of post career fun in a not so serious boxing class. Don't get any criticism of it, pre fight with guys like Hunt and Browne u have to be extremely brave to accept the fight. I hope he doesn't chase Whitaker, as much as Whitaker is a UFC fighter, he is so fast and alot younger.

Gave Browne his biggest pay day ever.

Anyone have a link to see the Liam Wilson fight ?

I have made the dubious yet calming decision to get Cleary by trading out Papy this week. Needed both centre and WFB cover this week anyway, so trades are Tino + Papy > Cleary + Hampton.

My deepest apologies for breaking Cleary this week, and best of luck to all remaining non-Cleary owners. I'm taking my medicine and getting on board later rather than never.
