I did bring Hampton in a few weeks back when he was at or near base price.
But I brought him in for Averillo.
I remember your post about Averillo a week or so back. Something like he'll manage to keep getting these 40 point games.

Lol I like to get the general consensus then assess.
Some told me pick Tohu but I went Haas a couple of weeks ago.
I ended up getting Bird last week too!

The problem with this is that I can guarantee that the person most invested in how your team does is you.
That doesn't mean that people won't try and help, they will out of the goodness of their kind hearts, but you can't expect them to look much beyond the current week or any broader strategy that you maybe might want to have for your own team. Plus, getting people to come up with a number of suggestions for you to consider, is a bit of a "get others to do the heavy lifting while you then decide if you see value in their efforts" approach.
I'm sure you are very capable of coming up with ideas, and maybe it might be more rewarding to say "Hey, what do you think of this trade? because I think..."
The community team, and what others are posting is a good starting point for ideas (and no doubt there will be others with similar set-ups or problems etc).
Obviously this is just my opinion, and I mean it in a good way, so take it for what it's worth, but I'm pretty certain that you are very capable of leading your team

A few weeks ago I flirted with bringing Hampton in (back when he was $253k)
The almost unanimous consensus was that I was a crazy fool.
Shows that the majority are often wrong. But I still listened to them

Won’t get into origin and byes coverage, but how many players does everyone have that they hate the sight of. Keen to see if my nine is par;
- SOS (bad player in bad team, serves me right)
- Egan (see above)
- Niu (how does this prick keep surviving)
- Leniu (why am I waiting for his 19pts in R13)
- Stefano (middie cow middles that you have to play at times. Just kill me)
- Hampton (no comment. It’s Ben Hampton)
- Laurie (nice rookie. going to take quite the upgrade to get to Ponga)
- Bird/Momo (both are fine. I’m a Peach owner though. Why do I have both)
- Watson (I mean, he’s fine. Good attacking stats player, but starting 13 for me and he’s one of them pests who moves to bench every week post teamsheets. I don’t have time for this shit)
23 trades left.
Mods, is this the sort of abuse you allow now? Poor man's to'o? Does Brian have even one emote?Fortitude wrote:I might just get the poor mans to’o......Rapana. I’m just concerned he gets dropped, because really he should be.
Keeps pumping out acceptable scores and isn’t too expensive

Ok that’s a small relief.
I did mention not getting into coverage. Eagle eyed willl have noticed 7 of the above are useful on R13. 5 if I stop dreaming about Tesi and Leniu
Still feel like I’ve got a lot (too many) bad players to eventually move on.
Warriors (SOS/Egan) with no round 13 definite top of the trade outs and fucked if I’ll be going anywhere near Walsh. If he gets you the odd 50, fair play, but he’s another trade waiting to happen
