I'm not really concerned, I doubt we will see too many 0 TB games from him again, seems to break them with ease

    100% swansong game.

Has been a great cow and starting asset but will need to be creative in funding his upgrade

CHN is obviously a much better player, but plays in a stacked Raiders pack, costs quite a bit more, and doesn't play the first bye

Burns isn't quite as good, but seems to have won that edge spot on merit and has less competition, costs less, and plays the first bye.

I think it is best to try as much as possible to select players with a secure first grade role.

very week we are copping injuries, suspensions and people dropped for form that makes people struggle to field a team

For me personally, doesn't matter how good CHN's scoring is, there is a real chance he gets dropped back to the bench in 3 weeks and Hudson Young starts again.
Are you willing to spend trades fixing that up when it happens? Are you confident CHN will keep the spot now he has it?

Burns potentially has better job security, although its still not awesome. The dragons have played with their middle rotation a bit this year, but the 2nd rowers have been Kerr/Sims every week until yesterday. So if Burns gets named again this week I'd be mroe confident in him than CHN (if talking about job security, not scoring potential)

Initial trade thoughts are Turpin>McCullough and SOS>Burns. 2 extra numbers for round 13, bank some cash and get similar scores

Think Walsh and Verrills can both wait

I'm a jaded Young owner but I wouldn't take CHN if you were paying for him in my team. Don't think anyone is a safe pickup right now with how busted we are playing.

Yeah I get that, just not sure what to make of CHN's job security. When he's got a safe spot on the edge, he can rack up scores, but with that Raiders pack there is always the risk, with Hudson and Tapine both there if he has a really bad game.

Burns I don't really trust either but I think he's at just as much risk as CHN of losing his spot thanks to Kerr being there, though the fact that they traded a player for him and put him in to start against a good team is a vote of confidence.

As a pure cash cow, Burns beats CHN hands down purely because he's 70k less and plays first bye, but for points, CHN is a much better scorer it seems.

I can get anyone at 357k or less, just not sure with anyone in this price range, and CHN seems to have the most upside - not sure exactly what I want to do

    Nope can be any position.

MID, CTR and WFB are preferred but doesn't have to be one of those

Sorry to keep asking about Friz lol but do we reckon he can maintain this kind of average? 758k is a huge amount but currently he is providing the points so I am happy to buy him just need some talking into it.

Hmm, on looking further it's not a great selection regardless. You have to trade this week? If not I'd probably just wait a week and see if verrils gets significantly more minutes. Or another cow comes along. Feel like if you don't have to trade it feels a little forced is all, when you're trying to decide between options you don't like any of.

Don't particularly trust Hook, it appears the Kerr experiment is over he has said Bird has trained there. Now Burns for 60 min.

Small thing but get Walker into starting lineup to have Schuster cover edge, Else Niu/Leniu to Burns solves that.

Alvaro would bother me as a starting player. Feel like you could do with him being 17/18

Given you have Laurie what about Teddy to Haas? I know trading out a keeper but take a look at him again after origin

Ideally get Hampton into bench to cover your backline too.

Roberts I just don’t know what to say

I already have Verrills, and am 4k short of going Uto direct to Ponga with the money I have in the bank.

I need a WFB if Teddy is out, and I figure I may as well get a genuine gun and cow

Ended up on 920. Rank 7385 now. I'm usually just reading on my phone so don't post often but throwing up my team here to see if there's any general advice pre team-lists?

    Brailey
    Crichton SST Offa
    Fifita Schuster
    Cleary Moses
    Peachey Roberts
    Oates Laurie Teddy

    Watson Simpkin Kenny SWalker
    Fuimano Papz Momirovski SOS

    26 trades and $10k bank.

My current thinking is this team isn't amazing and rank is trash so just going to plan for the byes and try to make a big jump there. So unless there's a super obvious trade in, will be prioritising guys who play round 13.

My order of giving a shit about competitions is NRLF (purely just based on being on here for almost a decade haha), DT (started off really well there) and SC (literally only care cos 3 of my mates are doing it this season). So of course I'm doing the worst on NRLF ffs!

3 trades saved is pretty awesome! You're Halves are fine, why the hurry on Moses when you probably need to look at generating cash? Thinking he's overdue for one of those 2 Try bangers?

I completely stuffed up DT early this year. I managed to leave Cleary and RyPap out of my Round 4 team after some serious bullshit at work Thursday and Friday that week after they both came back from missing a game Crying or Very sad

But as I edited above, Zac Cini's reserve grade stats are off the charts so I'd be curious to see him get a run

This year in particular is true with a year off from footy for all non first graders last year. Lost year of development for the youngsters would be hurting reserve grade quality now
