Raiders star Josh Papalii has revealed how he and Canberra coach Ricky Stuart reached the decision together to give him a “mental break” and declared: “Footy isn’t the most important thing for me right now”.

Papalii rated himself a “50/50 chance” of returning for the Green Machine next week, and was still weighing up whether to make himself available for the Queensland Origin campaign.

If he's struggling with footy, playing for Brisbane isn't really going to help that cause.

Have SOS to Moses pencilled in but have overlooked the Fog at 100k cheaper.

Is an average of 50 too much to ask from Fog?

Edit: Moses averaged almost 10 points higher than Fog last year so I’ll stick with Moses

Good to hear players being open about their mental health, or even just how they are feeling in general

Just saw your edit when I quoted.. but yeah. Moses should average high 50s, close to 60. The extra 100k is worth it imo.

With Teddy out I have to play Roberts

Other option (and let me know if this is a dumb move) is to trade Pappy for Ponga
Gives me Teddy, Ponga, Turbo, Laurie as wfb
Once Turbo peaks, trade him out for Pappy

Is this crazy? Or just take whatever Roberts serves up and hold Pappy?

I feel like this week's trades could be season defining.

I'm still leaning towards Egan and Pappy to Haas and Fogarty. Here's my logic:

IF I keep Pappy my WFB is Teddy, Turbo, Pappy, Laurie. I don't want a fifth WFB, especially because there are none I'm particularly keen on. Walsh passes the eye test, but I'm not convinced on job security or his role for fantasy purposes and he doesn't play rd13. I'd rather play one short this week, probably not the worst week to do it with others playing Simmo/Roberts/one short.

BUT, if I'm playing one short anyway, why wouldn't I go through with my original trades and get Haas and Fogarty? The only thing holding me back really is exactly how long Pappy will be out rather than the playing 16 thing. Going through with these trades allows Welch to Koro next week in one trade (and won't mess my team balance as I've got Haas to replace Welch). It also allows SOS to Verills next week if I want to double trade again, and I'd much rather have Verills than Walsh. I wouldn't have a trade out for Verills if I get Walsh.

Solid logic? Or reaching a bit so I can do the trades I fell in love with yesterday?

Pretty cool you work for such a massive company like that. Ever met any of the Pros like Negranu etc?

Have met Dan N multiple times! Fair question and far from a programmer Smile ! Good on you buddy for having some of the old merch.

Hope he's alright. Makes sense now with the moving him around the pack. Hopefully they come to a fair conclusion between the two and they both get back to their best

    hey lads,

just double checking this loop will work

    WFB: Paps Turbo Isaako

    Bench:
    Simpkin
    Welch
    Curran
    Ponga

    EMG:
    Shuster
    Swalker
    Alvaro
    Deitz

Hoping i can look at shusters score and then

If shit - swap Swalker and ponga
if good - leave as is

It should work as ponga is the only wfb on the bench yeah?

For those carrying teddy and pap, what’s the plan? I apologise if this has been covered at nausea.

My preference is to not sell them, just to save trades. It means having to go to SOS to Walsh. For cover and cash gen. But knowing that pap is probably 2 weeks away, with origin and potential resting etc. teddy is in a some what similar boat.

If I traded either out, I’d want to go to either to’o or Macca, for bye gun.
