Yeah saw that this morning, its ridiculous. If only there was some way to foresee this..

I think this two conference thing is just too much. It makes it less entertaining as teams arent fighting to make the top four or top 8 with a bunch of other teams but rather 1 or 2 other teams in their own conference. 18 teams isn't too much for one comp as seen in the AFL and it would just be changing the game for the sake of changing the game. 

There is the argument of being a traditionalist gets you left behind. But innovating for the sake of innovating doesn't exactly put you ahead. AFL and Rugby League has hardly changed yet they remain the two major codes in Australia and that is because the product is good already and has only changed when it has because it has to have had changed for obvious reasons (safety of players etc.).

They have changed the game enough for better or worse but now it is time to sit back and leave it alone because it is fine how it is.

I have never heard anyone mention the thought of 2 conferences and I haven't heard anyone agree with the idea.

New rules don't fix that problem half the time. Roosters finished the game with 11 men last week. Imagine if it was a close game and they'd lost because of it.
They don't even wait for off season to rules tinker, they make changes midseason these days

Hampton + Turnip to:

a) Barnett + SCrichton

b) Haas + Cini

Other options like Macca + Cotric or Lucy + Kelly, but probably comes down to these two.

Has averaged 60 off the bench this season. A starting spot like lock would be ideal, but Arthurs is getting great results from his bench players as well. He is a player that has shown he has the ability in the past and is showing that same form again this season in limited minutes with a PPM of 1.17.

Are people looking at benching Simpkins this week?

Conferences killed super rugby and has resulted in massive imbalances most years in NBA with multiple teams from 1 conference outperforming a team that makes the finals in the other conference with more losses than wins for the season.

I always backed him when he was at the Panthers, he's a great player.  That game where he only played 5 minutes is weird.

An average of 60 in only 3 games though, and the 87 is his highest score ever in 8 seasons. Wouldn't be expecting anything close to 60 tbh. Priced at 40 currently and Brown's injury isn't as serious as first thought.

I assumed he was injured in the game, but you are right, he only played the last 5 minutes. hmmmm

Yeah Super Rugby came to mind too. I used to watch it pretty often until the conferences thing made it boring.

Thinking of playing Stefano over him

Didn't mind the conferences in Super Rugby. Enjoyed the increased amount of NZ derbies far more than watching Crusaders playing against teams I knew little about and often wouldn't put up much of a fight. The NZ derbies were just better games.
