I have Hampton & Bird but I've decided against the centre options under 495k as nothing stands out so I am happy to run with 16 again this week. 25 points and a lack of job security is not worth a trade.

Looking forward to next week though. If Momo is out then I will be looking at Peachey.

BUT...is anyone considering Kotoni? He's potentially back next round so I'd be interested in a straight swap for Momo. Will be a POD option over the next few weeks and will be a potential keeper that plays R13.

    I'm keen

See how Staggs returns from his injury first for sure.

At the moment I got Peach Bird and Momo (if he gets his spot back) for CTRs and will be looking to hold them all until R17 if possible. Then for the run home consider Manu, Ramien or Aitken depending on price

Damn - was bringing him in with Grant, may have to revisit this (and Cini maybe?) when I get home.

    I have made a list of centres to look into over the next hour or so and have narrowed it down to;

Manu, Olam, Ramien, Rapana, Best, Opacic, Farnworth, Smith, Harper, Crichton, Kelly, Marsters

Nice list, been going through this process myself, I probably lean towards value. Thoughts:

I really like Kelly, based on last years performance and price. Not sure if he gets as much ball playing outside Fifita though. But I think he's the best value if he can. BE is on the higher side at 41, but could do that.

Could maybe wait another week on Best, has a 58 BE. He could easily smash that out this week with a good performance.

Ramien is interesting, but his run seems like a bit of an anomaly looking historically. Could be some regression to the mean, especially with the Sharks not being great.

Rapana is similar to Ramien but with DPP, historically averages about 40 on the wing. Only had 40 despite 2 tries last week. But he will have the goalkicking for a bit, big concerns around Raiders performances though.

Manu/Olam are both solid picks I think. No real value, but will hover around the 40 average mark and can both go into the 60s. Opacic similar, but maybe slightly less upside, has had an easy run of opponents.

Crichton is probably a notch below some of them, closer to a 35 avg, DPP, JS and Panthers attack are so nice though.

I'd skip Marsters for JS reasons. Farnworth hasn't been great at CTR apart from his 74, closer to a 30 average. Smith is also a 30 average historically and also this season (if you take out his 82), will make some cash short term but I don't think he's a keeper. Harper is a bit of a risk, without much history and JS/Injury issues (Suli).

To summarise: Kelly would be my value/upside play. Best for the YOLO POD, and fun to watch. Manu for solid ~40 avg pick with some potential positional value. Olam if you don't like Manu. Ramien/Rapana if you believe the uptick is real this season. Crichton if you're desperate for DPP and are OK with ~5 less points.

But I also don't know what I'm talking about.

Following an injury sustained during today’s Captain’s Run, Fletcher Baker has been ruled out of the Sydney Roosters 21-man squad.

Consequently, the Roosters have been granted an exemption by the NRL to replace him with Tuku Hau Tapuha. Hau Tapuha joins the squad in jersey number 24.

Was there ever an answer on why Tigers were allowed to bring Zac Cini into their team last week with Chee-Kam sitting in the 21? Or did they just play him without clearance and hope nobody noticed

I think I'm going to go with Kelly & chase some upside.

Is there any threat at all to his job security? Don't want to jinx it but JS + some upside are my main criteria.

Marsters wouldn't displace him, right? And why did he miss R2-4, can't remember?

Think I have my trades locked in for this week. Disgusted that I have to use both on THAT position but that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.

    Hampton to Olam
    Alvaro to Crichton

    21 trades 26k

    Brailey
    Haas Harris Watson
    Fifita Schuster
    Cleary Walker
    Olam Crichton
    Teddy Ponga Laurie

    Angus
    Simpkin
    Walsh
    Roberts(loop)

    Leniu
    Stefano
    Papy
    Niu

    Thoughts?

    Personal Opinion: CTRs suck.

I feel like you are trying to set and forget as part of trying to conserve some trades.  I think the second trade (Crichton) is great as there is some potential upside there (he's in that 2nd tier of CTRs  but could improve to be one of the best). The 1st trade I don't love because I don't see the appeal in Olam (think he will have good games like he has so far but averages will be 10 lower than the top tier at end of season) but I can't see any great options for your price point. If you like him to continue his involvement in a top team then I say go for it (only other option here is Joey Manu with a similar opportunity or Bird if you like his TBs to continue)

Have you considered running 16 for this week with a second trade like Leniu/Stefano to CHN/Curran/Next week cash cow to free up some cash to get one of the more premium options (Peachy, Best, Staggs (soon) Rapana, Ramien, Burton/Momo, lomax (maybe too far off) etc.).
I don't like going cheaper (ala to Cini) as it just spends more trades which will give more value elsewhere unless you are prepared to hold Cini as an EMG scorer all season..........

Renouf Atoni flying under the radar?

477K, locked in around 45 minutes a game, coming off scores of 66, 44, 50. Likes to tackle and likes breaking them.

Hadn't even looked at him. Tempting in theory if he's going to play 40 mins in the middle at that price.

Hard to gamble on a Bulldogs bench forward though.

Who makes way when Jackson & JMK come back? Hetho due back in R12 (in theory at least) too, and every chance Ogden or Stimson find their way back onto the bench if they continue losing and Barrett wants to mix things up.

Their official profile on the site list Chee Kam only as a 2RF. My guess is they have transitioned Chee Kam into a 2RF only, and that's what they have him down as. Sure he is versatile, but that is his position now. Plus if you can get away with it, why not?

Assuming exemption because of the injury qnd they needed a winger? Still a bit odd as no reason mck couldnt have slotted into roberts role.

Not really what the rule was brought in to stop so no real issue with it
