This needs to be in the bold calls thread.Revraiser wrote:
Yeah not having a crack mate, and maybe I used the wrong word in 'address', as I meant to fix it or arrest it. He comes off cool and under control by saying he saw it coming.
Souths finish 5 - 8 this year and bow out in the finals timidly imo.

Just going to run without ctr coverage and bank a trade. That's unless Suualii gets the nod.

Fair call mate.
Your fantasy skills should be all that matters around here. I used to wonder what I was doing here at times, I was rubbish at one point I think I even traded in Tom Symonds against the forum advice.
Tom Symonds... Didn’t know they used to have a NSW Cup fantasy game.

Is the thinking that if Suualii gets the callup he’s there to stay? Or just at 228k don’t care about job security?

2016 I think it was, scored what I thought were decent scores, so I brought him in and he got injured after 20 minutes never to be seen again

Just manually - by being a Fantasy tragic...
With the rankings tab, you can obviously change the round, but it always keeps the total points at the current total, so you can just keep reordering on total points to get their team for each week.
I'll post an outline of what it took to dominate the competition at the 8 week mark (I think they were 88 points clear of 2nd and nearly 300 points ahead of 100th).

I would like to try the save trades method next year possibly as I have gone guns blazing twice now the thing that makes me nervous is saving them to a point where you can't make the ground back even if your trades were flawless later is there any evidence pointing towards witch path is the best to take ?

Souths plain and simple lacked resilience and lost the physical battle
It's genuinely a pretty remarkable achievement that despite all this adversity, the Roosters are still able to well and truly exceed the salary cap

A rundown of the first 8 weeks that took Boon89 to #1 (and about 80 points clear of 2nd place);
Starting squad:
Turpin
Harris Taukeiaho BSmith
Crichton Riki
Townsend (C)leary
Averillo Momirovski
Papenhuyzen Mitchell Moylan
Watson Brailey Liddle Host
Laurie Utoikamanu Leniu Niu
Basically what MTB would likely describe as ideal; cookie-cutter with a twist - some came off (Townsend, Momo, Mitchell), some less so (Tauk, BSmith, Host, Moylan)
TRADES:
R2
Host -> Opacic (Good trade, shored up the Centre position)
R3
Turpin -> Papali'i (Went early on getting rid of Turpin, but what a trade that turned out to be)
Moylan -> Schuster
R4
Liddle -> Walker (Again, early on Liddle, but free'd money for;)
BSmith -> Fifita (Proving you could start without one of the big guns)
R5
Leniu -> O'Sullivan (Got the 70 pointer)
Tauk -> Reynolds (Probably a dud trade)
R6
Niu -> Simpkin (why not)
Riki -> Peachey
R7
O'Sullivan -> Hampton (Good cover pick-up)
Mitchell -> To'o (likes a form player)
R8
Townsend -> Trbojevic (Usually gets on players early, not so much with this one)
R13 Bye: Likely 10 players, 6 are R17, 5 Likely Origin
Starting squad:
Turpin
Harris Taukeiaho BSmith
Crichton Riki
Townsend (C)leary
Averillo Momirovski
Papenhuyzen Mitchell Moylan
Watson Brailey Liddle Host

I guess there is a chance he doesn't. Thinking he will though

Tohu
Crichton
Cleary
Pap
DiFi
Teddy
Schuster
Walker
Walsh
Averillo
That leaves 11 for R13 (although Leniu, Roberts, Simpkin, Stefano all questionable)
Who's a hold and who's a trade out of that? Are we looking at Schuster and Walker as keepers at this point?
I'd keep Tohu, Cleary, Pappy maybe, D. Fifita, Schuster, Walker & Walsh maybe

I don't see why he would. 5% chance I reckon, maybe on the bench if he's lucky.

More hope than actual imo especially when they have Mr reliable Ikuvalu who plays well when he gets a chance. Suaalii to play needs another injury to a back but I wouldn't wish an injury on any player.

He doesn't have the greatest base stats & relies in attacking plays to score 50+ as has been mentioned on here previously. I'm not sure I want to buy him but he's probably better than the alternatives & he's set & forget.
End of the day he's a 50 min middle fwd who you can pick in your ctrs and plays the first bye. Hard to pass even at his price
