Had to duck out and see a guy and a couple of mates, so not fully up to speed, but apparently I feel like talking about CTRs.
In years past, starting with cheap CTRs has been a good strategy. Guys like Nikora, Bateman, Lomax, Sivo, Cotric, Ravalawa, Hiku, Gutherson are just some guys I've started the season with as did many others. Other guys like Best, Ramien, Sharks Bird etc. that emerged during the season were all more than serviceable and made a tonne of cash too.

That Bateman/Nikora year was lovely. (Bateman actually wasn't cheap, maybe high 500s, but it was clear he was a must after a couple of rounds. Nikora was 212k)

Man I wish we still had Papali'i at the Warriors. Imagine him in our forward pack. Unfortunately we had Kearney at the same time.

I read this a couple times and have no idea what you are talking about. Teddy is sensational at backing up and if he is scoring tries it’s because he’s in the right spot by his own volition. Which is part of why you select him in fantasy. He doesn’t get gifted tries, and has a very long fantasy history of high scores with or without tries. He’s been doing this for years and everyone is losing their minds about three poor games. Relax people
Have a look at the tries in the first few games, he wasnt creating them, was just the receiver of the last pass in most of them after all the hard work had been done by others.
The season before when getting 2 or 3 tries he was getting 100+, this season in the first few games he was getting 2 or 3 tries and scoring in the 70s and with 1 try in the 50s and 60s. Very different scoring profile year on year, even when Keary was playing.

See for me, yeah, that was easy, but everyone has them so whats the point? May as well just not have centres if you just want two easy no brainer selections

This works for me. I’d be swimming in trades the last 2 seasons

Moses has been a bit underwhelming from a real life perspective, not much creativity on attack, just out the back to Gutho every time. They should have had this game well in the bag

Yeah sounds like Kearney was all about punishing you if you had any mistakes in your game, which stifled his natural attacking instincts.Weiland wrote:Man I wish we still had Papali'i at the Warriors. Imagine him in our forward pack. Unfortunately we had Kearney at the same time.

Parra hit Gutho too much, probably because he overcalls everything. Would love to see Moses running it more.

Yeah I should've put an asterisk on Bateman. I traded him in after Rd 1, couldn't remember his price though. All the others were basement or damn close (Hiku) and turned out better than forking over 500k+ for guys that routinely score 30 odd when you can get the same for cheap, spend more money elsewhere and make money.
