NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 48 - How about those cheapies hey?

About 140-150 points between 10k - 15k.

Still plenty close so don't worry about one dud round and dropping ranks guys. Next week you can bounce back and start closing gaps!

938, with 16 players (50 from my centres OK I guess, thanks Bird).
Dropped nearly 200 ranks to 4463.
Only good thing was owning Turbo, and banking a trade by avoiding Cini.
Unfortunately, my one trade in was Walsh, so I missed his 45 & 51 to pay $300k for 23 points off the bench.
Wait and see who is suspended, inured or dropped for Rd.10.
Happy days.

Banked 6 trades, but have quite a few issues that I've been avoiding dealing with:

1. I have no ctr or wfb cover and have been playing Simo the last two weeks
2. I have Hampton and SOS doin nothin.
3. I have Tedesco hemorrhaging cash - probably stuck with him now so hope he comes good.
4. Simpkin, Schuster, Uto and probably Watson all need to be dealt with.
5. I don't have Pappy, Ponga or Trbo, but don't really want to bring them in before origin so I'm in shit backs limbo.

On the plus side, not trading has meant:
1. I have Riki, who might be useful if Fifita is out next week
2. I didn't bring in Cini or Walsh.

911 this week including a debacle with Cini where I thought I could reverse it but got the game time wrong so left it too late (also left him in 18 with 17 locked so had to take the score). I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be good but he overachieved on that front.

Too many 30s in my lineup this round as well with Farnsworth and Lachlan fucking Croker among the top performers.

Lost the 800 places I made up last week but if Pap is back have enough troops to cover everyone and maybe make a strategic trade for a change (if he’s not I may regret holding)..

I'm lacking forward depth hard. Not sure what I'm gonna do if tohu and Fifi are out. I only have 3 middles in my entire 21 yikesss

914 this week falling from 130 to 320, second week dropping. With my current team feel like it's going to continue that trajectory. Ah well, first year taking fantasy this seriously and learning a lot of lessons.

The worst thing is no one in my team scored 69. Still sitting at 8 for the year.

Interesting week ahead...
NSW has extended COVID restrictions for a week.
If (unclear at this stage) QLD government only allow those in the NRL bubble to fly into Brisbane for magic week - SMH reporting Eels may only have 17 players available. Unlike every other team, Eels played all their fringe players in reserve grade, despite warning from NRL. (This is why Leniu didn’t play this weekend)

Broncos fans thoughts on Gamble? The Broncos have a tough next 3-4 weeks so if they lose is it likely he’s dropped?

Thinking about Cini or Roberts to Gamble but not sure if it’s worth it?

What are your guys thoughts?

Why tf did Fish only get 36 mins? Did he just get a rest cause they were up big and didn't really need him?

Gamble should be our half for the rest of the year but I guarantee Kev brings croft back in at some stage, likely after a few straight losses.

1044 for the round breaking into the top 3k for the first time after a pretty abysmal start (20k~), so goes to show what a few weeks can do in fantasy.

Original trades of Munster and Hampton for Mann and Douehi would have netted me an extra 119 points and I would have hit 1000 with 16 players.

Nothing but those trades mate. You didn't know Hampton would get injured, not that Douehi would get a banner. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but you don't suck because of it.
