I know you and I are on different sides to this argument but changes like this have occurred in Rugby League in the past where I've heard people say "fans will revolt" or "you're going to lose all the fans". Best example is getting rid of the shoulder charge. It's honestly a blip and forgotten about within months.
People complained when union cracked down on contact to the head but the sport still continues.
What I'm interesting in is a) where they draw the line, and b) whether there are some very harsh sin-binnings this weekend and then becomes much more relaxed again in a month's time.
Also, are they going to police contact to the head and neck against players on the ground as harshly? That currently happens several times a set.
