That means Kodi will have to slot into No.14, whether he likes it or not, and that will enable me to play more of a middle role.

“I think Kodi is a good No.14 as much as he hates it, and I think that is what’s best for the team at the moment.”

The fact he is saying Kodi WILL have to slot into No.14, WHETHER HE LIKES IT OR NOT. Sounds like Walsh will be playing half and Kodi is moving to a bench hooking role. CHT 7 and Walsh 6 by the sounds.

Sounds like Tevaga is looking after his own playing time

I don't really understand shoehorning Walsh into the 6 when he's going to play fullback next year.

Harry Grant was too good for reserve grade for two seasons but he worked hard and honed his game and then stepped into the NRL ready to dominate. The Roosters aren't forcing Walker and Suaali into the NRL, Walker is playing due to injuries obviously. They are taking their time with Suaali. If Keary was fit then Walker is probably plying his trade in NSW Cup and getting the odd game here and there.

Walsh is 18 and is only playing his first senior football this season. I don't see why he is 'too good to not be playing' when a season at fullback for the Dolphins would do him a world of good.

I think with the media getting a hold of these young kids, by the time they are 18-19 we have been hearing about them for 2-3 years already and we forget just how young they actually are and think they have been in the scene for years! Walsh has a good debut game and everyone thinks he is NRL ready.

Mind you though Harry Grant was behind Cameron Smith and to a degree Brandon Smith. If he was at the Tigers or Dogs or Cows, etc. he would have been playing NRL a lot earlier than he did.

Yeah, different situation to a degree, although Walsh is behind RTS right now.. so not that different.

Storm do well at keeping their young guns on the quiet and away from media. It really shows how little people pay attention to the Q Cup/NSW Cup. The falcons were near undefeated in 2019 and Grant dominated week in week out, yet barely a mention of him in normie media.

As a TPJ owner, him playing the first Origin and getting suspended for six weeks is not what I want.

Teetotaller was also the original BE guy.

My spreadsheets are mostly based on his (and arsendragon's) work.

Fuck no idea what to do now that Ponga is out too, should I go back to my original plan of Fifita and Stefano out for Turbo and Matterson/Moses? Surely I shouldn’t trade out both Ponga and Fifita right?

I don't watch enough of the bronies these days but how's his defence? I often think that aspect is overlooked when fans/media are picking an origin team. Only takes one weak link in the middle or edge for the whole side to leak like a sieve when they're up against origin opposition as they quickly lose trust in the outside/inside and make different decisions accordingly. I know he puts on a big shot and he looks to be fitter/less lazy in the few times I have seen him so maybe its not an issue, i just seem to recall there being some question marks around it in the past.

That's exactly what I thought - especially as Ponga likes to slaughter them.
It probably increases their chances of winning by about 200%... so from like 5% all the way up to a 15% chance.

That's probably enough for me to tip them now.

Is Walsh now a definite trade in if you don't already have him?

    best replacement for ponga?

Preferably a r 13 number playing ctr or wfb. Gutho or To'o sticking out the most. To'o higher average but more likely for origin you would think?

Hard to not get teddy at the price but really need the bye number. thanks lads

I mean, I don't how much a quote from Jazz Tevaga changes things to be honest.

    That's an awesome response.

To be less nicely terse: No, a rookie bench back who doesn't play the first buy isn't a must-have because a bench hooker said the current halfback should play on the bench.

I'm hearing through my sources that Nathan Brown is taking a leave of absence effective immediately for personal reasons and that Jazz Tevaga has been appointed as the interim coach.

It is also rumoured that Coach Jazz is set to shake up the halves structure, as well as shift Tohu back to the edge and bring a bench player into lock (some fella who's only been playing between 27 and 29 minutes the last couple of weeks).

      Current date/time is Mon Nov 25, 2024 6:42 am
