The ESL magic round concept was to take the game out of the heartlands to Edinburgh and Cardiff to spread the game while also getting huge buy-in from the hosts with tens of thousands of out-of-towners turning up in their cities with tourist money.

Like the idea of Perth but easier to do when it's 200-300 miles away and people come by train. How many would fly out to WA? What's even the air capacity?

Edinburgh and Cardiff are incredible cities for boozing. Cardiff especially with me being a razz pro there has everything a stone throw from stadium also

Melbourne would be a great place for Magic Round, the stadiums are all really close to the CBD and Melbourne to Sydney is one of the busiest air routes in the world
