Lost almost 5000 ranks this week. Not much point in continuing is there?

you’d be missed too much around here if you didn’t keep going.

My season has gone to shit too. But, the banter here is what keeps me going each round. I just set mini goals of rank and try achieve it now.

Cleary is 3rd highest scorer in SC, behind Fifita and iPap
5th on averages with TTrbo, Pappy, Fifita and BMoz ahead of him.
No points for kick metres in SC, which removes a bunch of his Fantasy base.
Extra high points for tries and try assists though, so if he gets a hattrick like he did tonight, then he is rolling in the money

Just try and do your fantasy fantasy owners proud. Play for fun and bring in players you want to do well until the trades run out.

Yeah, you kind of have to. But he's currently 23 points average ahead of the next best guy (Difita), which would be about 280k in starting price, and 30 points (375k) ahead of the third best (Brailey)
With double point captains, being even 10 points better than the next player means you have to own him.
Add in the fact that Cleary was priced at just over 70 for an average of 95.
Even if he finishes this year with a 90 average, and starts next year $250k more than the next player, he would be a must buy in order to get his captain points

Pain bought me a beer last night and it did indeed make me stronger.Mulvy wrote:

For real though, keep your chin up LB. Love your posts around here and wouldn't want to see them gone. Maybe worth doing whatever you can to bring Cleary in ASAP. I brought him in 6 weeks late and despite now having Zero chance of a big finish, I enjoy the game more each week.

Reserve's don't move from 0 to DNP until a while after the game. Been like that since the 18th man was brought in
Thanks for that Milchy. Thanks also to everyone else who responded

Yeah same with league 11. Enjoying it though tbh, losing every week despite scoring well is a very strong motivator to come home strong and finish top 8!ytsb wrote:League 9 is absolutely killing it this year

Always a point, not like you would quit if you were in say 1000th place what's the difference I'm at 2.9k and I still had the highs n lows of this round like everyone else. It made games I normally wouldn't be interested in a little more exciting / interesting
Even if this year's a flop there's plenty more years to come, I'll learn something probably get a good laugh at a post or 2 get passionate about some random fantasy shit and have someone to yarn with about it save the missus from pretending to be interested. Not like we all expected to be winners from day one but may aswell have a crack at doing the best you can and just enjoy this shit for what it is.
All praise the chin god
May we all avoid macca
And never doubt walsh again !

1022 for me before updates. Went up to rank 5770 with that. Banked another trade this week. Want to load up for R13 but worry about players getting suspended before then, or players getting called up to Origin because other players are out. It’s going to be an interesting few weeks.

I think moving forward I'm going to have to adhere to the "no trading out green dots" rule just in case one of my players tackles a player at chest height and his arm bumps off the ball into their face at 2km/h constituting a send off
