I only have 8 guys who seem to be locked in for round 13 currently Brailey, Watson, Alvaro, Moses, Peachey, Bird, Laurie, Macca, I do have Simpkin, Uto and Roberts as well but those 3 are very doubtful of playing round 13 it seems.

Could trade Roberts to May, or Simonsson to Ramsay or Talau or Uto to Hynes but not sure any of them are worth it?......

Don’t wanna sell Haas, Cleary, Teddy, Pap, Tommy T or Angus. CHN don’t wanna sell him either.

This leaves Schuster and S. Walker as possible sells if they go bad this week or next....

I dunno I’m a bit all over the place moreso than the last couple of weeks.

Another possible option is bring in Flegler but not sure I like it.

Best to wait for team lists, there could be some value replacements this week.

Is Blake Lawrie worth a look with McGuire and Fui out for 5 weeks? 490k Lawrie. Plays round 13.

Late night musing...surely RTS is still named at fullback, or at the very least in the 1 jersey, even on the wing? It's one thing to move him to fit in Walsh (which is fine, whatever works/ I'm sure he's fine with it) but I feel like it would be downright disrespectful to take the 1 off him too. Seems minor, sure. But that's *his* jersey.

    Late night musing indeed..

Definitely shown he needs his hands on the ball more. Makes stuff happen, regardless of position

Yeah nah I agree with you and reckon it's a valid point. Could mean fuck all at the end of the day but RTS has put blood sweat and tears to get to the number 1 jersey and has consistently performed there year in and year out. It could be something like if Walsh kills it at fullback aswell he will get the 1 jersey but in RTS's last game he will get to wear it one last time.

Ultimately, RTS just seems like the most humble guy that would sacrifice himself for the team, what he's doing is so selfless by accomodating Walsh into his favoured position at the detriment of himself.

I still reckon they should just put Walsh into the 6 and Niko or CHT into 9 and leave RTS at the back.

Purely baseless and senseless but they definitely won’t relegate him to some runs out in rezzies because he got a suspension... so will either be in, or 18 and with the squad until something breaks.

People going on about the fact they were winning while he was suspended, but they were winning equally well when he wasn’t, and he was first choice then as a new club acquisition.

Gets a starting jersey for me this week and crossing fingers

How many origin players do we all have?

I have 6 in Haas, Cleary, Teddy, Pap, Tommy T and Angus.

Holding onto Pap has hurt me. I was ranked around 2500 after round 6 and since my rank has got out to close to 5000 now. Just goes to show I think you can’t have big money sitting out for that long. Just sucks he was out 3 weeks rather than 2 and then he’s come back and that happens yesterday and he’s out next week so between rounds 7-10 Pap has only scored 8 for me and if I hold this week he’s only scored 8 points in the last 5 weeks and he obviously does not play 13 and could be out 14........ plus his BE is 100.

It pains me to say it but I think I need to trade him out otherwise I’ll just fall even further behind. So I’ll be without Fifita and now Pap will get 1 of them back in at some point probs Pap and have to run without Fifita but it is what it is.

I think after having the red arrows the last 6 weeks in a row on the decline it’s time to throw caution to the wind I’m screwed anyway. Only have 8 round 13 players that look guaranteed at this point.

Thoughts on a Pap to Hughes trade?....

Then I could hold second trade or could go Roberts to Brian Kelly who plays round 13 and gives me centre cover.

Getting Hughes and Kelly in only leaves me 24k in the bank and 17 trades left but would look like 10 guaranteed round 13 players whilst I have Uto and Simpkin still as well:

    Would give me:

    Brailey
    Watson Haas Alvaro
    CHN Schuster
    Cleary Hughes
    Kelly Bird
    Teddy Laurie Tommy T

    Macca Angus Moses S. Walker
    Simonsson Uto Simpkin Peachey

Thoughts please guys? Or is there something else I could potentially look at?

Is anyone else still a bit spooked by Matterson?

I'm doing a bit more bye planning, and I'm looking at Lucy or Matto as my trade this week. Both roughly the same price, but Matto a 63.7 avg in 80 minute games, Lucy had a 53 avg same parameters. It's nearly an 11 point upgrade which over the course of 12 rounds should bank around 117 points if I go Matto.

Of course, there's Matto's injury history. This isn't to say that Lucy won't get injured (or suspended) who knows what'll happen, however it's much riskier picking up Matto as a head knock could put him out for another 4 weeks, defeating the purpose of picking him up.

I think at this stage I'm leaning towards picking up Matto but with the intention of trading him out should he get injured again, and not waiting for his return as we know it can be quite a wait.

Do you guys go Matto, or do you go the "safety" in Lucy?

There's obviously some risk with Matterson.
I think it's a little overstated though (mostly due to recency). He played 19/22 possible games last year and 26/26 the year before.

The crackdown on head high tackles may slightly reduce that risk and of course his discounted price also adds some risk mitigation.

Leilua definitely won't play Origin and has a great injury fee free history. If you're only intending on holding them for the next month then I'd probably go Leilua (might cost 20 or 30 points, but Leilua could offset that if he has one big game). If it's an end game play, I'd probably go Matterson and hope for the best.

I think Hynes will be there. He's admitted manager is talking to the Broncos at the moment. I'd say manager is playign it smart because every game Hynes gets with Papy/Munster out is giving him contract leverage.
