I do really like Kelly though.

Any reason not to go Burton over Manu or Kelly?

Stil also tempted to just play with 16.

Great strategy. Wrong Pick. You're better off getting May/BJ/Kris near that price point.

Not really, but I'd like someone who is garunteed to keep their spot all year. It's looking that way for Burton, but who knows. His covering round 13 may be worth it, but wouldn't want to use a trade on him post Origin. He's won the position on merit though so he is a good option.

Funny, was just going to run with 16 to looking at so many almost premium options haha.

All i want to say is, dont whinge in 3 rounds time when you went with "group think" instead of the ctr you really wanted

Looking at Burton, not sure I'm sold on him now as his scores without tries aren't good (bar round 3).

Round 8 a 25, and last week a 15. He's also had scores of 37, 39, 42 and 40 with tries. I know that's a perfect example of a centre but all included a line break so his base stats aren't that great digging a bit deeper. Would be worried owning him as a To'o owner also since they have been starting to shift the other side.

Seems like most are against having Peach in the 14-17 with two decent centres.  I get why but I don't think it's the worse option and your coverage is covered.

MBye could go back to the bench at anytime, especially if Doueihi goes back to the halves and Roberts comes back.

Agreed on Mbye being likely to return to the bench. His scores off the bench this year have been acceptable as far as fill in CTRs go IMO. I feel as though Peachey's floor is a bit lower than i'd like for someone playing in my 14-17. Hardly the worst option to have him there at this stage of the year though.

This is a good point. Seems a centre pick this week is a pure gut call and everyone is going have a different view. Despite the position, there's legit heaps of viable options. Hell, even Cotric who we were having a laugh about on Saturday is great value to leave in your centres at 377K. Shame he's in a shit team but for the price, he's a fine option IMO.

Kelly or Manu for me. I think have a some fun and pick the one you want as opposed to anything else.

Agree, MBye has been playing enough minutes from the bench to be worth as an EMG. I understand it's Peachey's floor that would make him look bad as a 14-17 but with cash gen, might be an alternate I'll run with.

It's tough, six red dots makes it difficult. I understand the Hynes pick, I don't really love it personally. Given you are playing Walsh anyway and you are thinking Koro next week, why not Pappy/Niu to Moses/Koro? Play Walsh at FB and hope a better cheapie pops up next week for Simpkin, most of the potential cheapies this week Honeysett described aptly last night.

That sounds like a decent strategy, would you consider Mahoney/Matterson over Koro though or would Origin uncertainty put you off them? JFH another option I don’t mind

I am between Olam, Kelly and Bird this week for my CTR pick.
All are viable and hopefully I get the right one

I'm looking at getting Burton next week, if he scores 30 odd this week he drops to about 450k.
He should carve it up in round 13, and maybe rd14 if Cleary gets a rest the Friday night game after origin.
He's also a good handcuff in case Cleary misses a few games for some other reason.

    Hey again everyone.

Still struggling with my side. Only playing H2H, not worried about overall score. Have 18 trades and $87K ITB.

    Brailey
    Haas, Harris, Watson
    Schuster, Koloamatangi
    Cleary, Moses
    Momirovski, Rapana
    Turbo, Mitchell, Laurie

    SWalker, Starling, Ofahengaue, Aekins,

    Alvaro, Fuimaono, Papenhuyzen, Verills

I want to get Teddy into my team based on his value and also Matterson seems pretty good value for a Edge keeper.

    I am thinking:
    Fuimaono to May
    Ofahengaue to Tedesco.

Leaves me with some CTR coverage and possibly too many WFB. Can't ignore Teddy's value though. Double trade next week to free up some cash and get Matterson in.

    Any advice for a rookie?

He does make sense hey.  Didn't realise Panthers play Friday after Origin.  I need a centre this week though.  Hmm...

Definitely interested in kris just wasn’t sure what the deal with Croker is regarding his return.

Sorry for perpetuating the CTR talk.

I'm running with Best and May in the centres until it breaks.

Ramien and Papy out, Matto and Harris in ?

    16 trades remaining after this.

Cotric, Kris, MBye probably in that order. I like having the DPP in the EMG after the next 2 weeks, although whoever I pick will probably be my starting CTR for the year.
