Mulvy 5 mins b4 every kickoff on the weekend - "I'll have a session".

Then he wonders why it's not what he thought it was !

It is fascinating that they include the number of participants in 'LeagueTag' over the years in total Rugby League participant numbers.

In what used to be a jovial line I threw out often in recent years, how many here would crack open a beer on a Friday evening and sit down to watch Rugby League under the banner of some form of "Tag" League?  It is where we are heading, no tongue in cheek.

Its always interesting this "we have to keep people playing" angle. Why?

Its important to get kids playing, absolutely. Beyond the age of 20, it doesnt really matter if a bunch of people are playing social leagues or not.

The NFL, NBA, UFC, etc are becoming massive in australia. No one is playing those sports on a weekend.

If the top tier product (nrl) is worth watching then people will keep paying to watch.

Yeah i know what you are saying, it would just be having the participation, and then players to pick from or players coming through and into Nrl. USA has it covered with there college systems and participation through the roof. UFC participants can come from any country, and 'style' and start 'Streets of Raging" into stardom.

Quite pleased with Mbye's 37. Just need some luck that he survives the next reactive reshuffle.

My bench is a bit fucked up, I have Watson and Laurie out of the 17 so that might look stupid at the end of the round.

I haven't watched many Storm games lately but with Hughes out does this affect Hynes in any way i.e. providing quality attacking ball for Hynes to utilise.
I did watch the Dragons game & I do own Alvaro (in my emg's) & I thought he had a great game his tackling which is his only fantasy attribute was spot on (he rarely misses & is busy)
    J. Kerr is 1 big human but in terms of his league ability he is pretty crap dropping passes & missing tackles & he lost them the game as it was his missed tackle on Hiroti that got the Sharks field position for the winning drop kick & I think he lost the ball prior to that as well
Also I passed on Walsh as I need to save some trades & I already had a good 17 so if I purchased him I would of benched Laurie. The plan now is to get him in round 14 so will build some cash for the Laurie to Walsh trade.

Anyone else following Kamikamica and wondering if he will get an increase in mins tonight, i vaguely recall a quote from Bellamy where he said all players will be rotated where suitable or possible in temrs of minutes. Or is this a biased memory recall ??

    Ah yeah, that's probably it.

I also thought Break on Through (the defensive line) was a good shout.

If Roberts is fit, I think so too.
BJ has probably been okay-enough the last two weeks (probably his best two weeks at the Tigers if I'm honest).

Doueihi IMO had been the Tigers best player so far this year, but last night he was basically rendered irrelevant at Centre.

I suspect it's not too long before we again see Doueihi back at 6 and Mbye at 14 again, with the original Roberts/Leilua Centre pairing - as uninspiring as that is...

Pity, I was hoping for the Mahoney/Grant combo making Ben Hunt a sneaky R13 option (especially if he'd kept shedding cash)

I have a list of must haves (Cleary, Haas, Teddy, Tohu) with the rest pretty interchangable based on price. Only takes 1 HIA for someone like Cook who was probably not on my list to make the cut
Teddy isnt looking close to must have this season, lots of WFB options that can score at least as well.

Rule out Mahoney as a R13 trade-in then. Could be a good pick up afterwards though if he drops a bit of cash.

Just realised. Can reshuffle my forwards to drop CHN to my emg and loop in Laurie's score while still playing S.Walker. much happier with this option. So if CHN gets 100 its cos the fantasy gods hate me.

Back to the drawing board. That's what you get for selling Fifita and Papy, and hoping to buy them back I guess ...

I did my planning a couple of weeks back - obviously you have to be very fluid with this stuff because so much can (and will) change between now and R18/19.

I'm at 13.1 mil and was aiming around a 14.2 mil squad (so $1,100k short - or One Cleary in Standard International Captaincy units).

A few crashes last week - Papenhuyzen, Haas & Burton & Taumalolo (to a lesser degree) helped bring that in to about $800k short.

I'm hoping to mostly bridge that divide with getting guns on a low ebb, but this week decided to waste 2 trades on quick cash generation boosts to create a bit more wiggle room.
