I'm interested on everyone's opinion on whether Flegler features in the Maroons team for Game 1. I've really not got a clue.

Was literally about to ask the same thing as I want to bring him in this week for Simpkin. That predicted team on NRL.com doesn’t include him but obviously take that with a grain of salt

he is probably more chance of being suspended next week than being picked for origin, imo

I suspect SOO counts as one game but I'm not 100%
Given that he isn't allowed to play SOO, logic says that it has to count as a 'missed game' but sometimes logic can be wrong

I personally wouldn’t bring in anyone vs storm. They just make everyone look so bad in real life and fantasy.

Was in the NRL.COM article, Roosters have to apply for it to count. Basically, I think NSW just have to confirm to the NRL that he would have been picked, and it counts.

I mostly agree. Ford was a moderate risk before, now there's a fair chance he might just get one week before being replaced.
I'm not going to play those odds.
The JDB Case is expected to be officially dropped at court tomorrow.
Additionally;
I think there's a strong chance he's named for R13.
If he's named for rd13 at $600k he would be straight into my team

Googled Matt Burton. I know who he is, obviously, just to check news stories. Sterlo talking him up too.
I think he’s in.
Feels like one of those classic bench picks NSW loves to make, where they pick a player on a defined role rather than actual ability. Maybe even a tribute to the late Bob Fulton - the selector who bought us great #14s like Jamie Buhrer and Dylan Walker.
This is a guy who couldn’t make the Panthers 17 a month ago.

The word from Radley suspension article was that teams can use Origin as a game if they can prove they would have been picked
I would assume Crichton can use this but not sure how it formally gets stated, nothing on Roosters website, NRL casualty ward says R13 return date for Crichton (haven’t factored bye so guessing R14 and Origin does count)

Bit hard with Cleary and Maloney/Luai at the helm.

Yeah, I'll hold off trading him in now.

I’d expect him to either play a couple of NSW Cup games or play a few NRL games via the bench. Needs to get up to match fitness.

It’s annoying. I think I’m going to have to keep Walker and hope he scores ok/doesn’t lose too much cash. All the options are too risky around Origin

Yeah, can't get Hynes without double trading so I think I'll hold both this week. Raiders are fucked, hopefully he can jag a 35 pointer at least.

IMO Dragons season is at a turning point right now and JDB would be huge for them. I reckon he would probably spend 1 game on the bench/NSW cup at most before being chucked on.

Is Stefano and Simpkin to Flegler and Walsh wasted trades?

Bloody hell, a few days ago my Burton trade in was looking like a masterstoke. Now not so much, will be frustrating if he doesn't play half back in rd13.

Re Raiders: Article in Telegraph today - interview with Josh Hodgson.
Hodgson rang the journo disgusted at how people were attacking G Williams.
Said Williams asked for transfer at end of year. Had been putting in 100% every day. Team love him.
Hodgson doesn’t understand why he was let go immediately. Asked Ricky why at a team meeting and still didn’t understand. Questioning why they wouldn’t let him go at end of year - but then he misses training (presumably mental health grounds) and he’s released immediately. Team unhappy.
And he added he thinks he is a starting player.

It sounding very untenable. They’re either going to have to sack Ricky or have a clean out/rebuild - Hodgkin, Tapine, a few others

What a shitshow at Canberra. No coincidence Sticky is close to the 360 boneheads. Whole thing stinks
