Fair bit of chat about it actually. Hard to say with any certainty what happens from here for the rest of the season..

What are your thoughts on Ramsey mate? I’ve been looking at him on and off this week.
Thinking of downgrading Stefano/Simpkin to build a bank for next week but Dufty worries me

    Warming to it.

There were some early reports Dufty was only a 1-2 week injury. But I’ve since heard 6. Then he’s also not going to be re-signed and while he’s possibly our most creative player, he’s also our most mistake ridden, so might not get the spot back. It’s a risk but at 284k as a bye round cashout I think Ramsey could be ok. Worst case scenario he goes back to the wing and you’ve got another Simonssen level scorer, needing tries to get points.

Sounds promising. Might jump on Ramsey and someone 742K or under? Thoughts

The timing of this coincided with needing to find funds to keep JDB.

    Looking at Leilua/McCullough/Api...

Leilua – much needed edge cover. Not playing 80 minutes lately? Had barely any attacking stats this year and great base stats. Big score around the corner? Great potential to be a looping option at the back end of the year to get some big scores.
McCullough – Will tackle his way to 55+ every week and can be a great benchy for the rest of the year.
Api – Been fairly underwhelming since returning. Panthers are ROLLING teams so his need to make 40+ tackles and take a few scoots has disappeared but with most the team out next week could be a great R13 option. Not a season keeper atm.

I'm leaning towards trading Haas to Macca next week at this stage. Seems the best option out of the three. The games he got a spell with Moose there was a slight concern though.

I know there are obviously things going on behind the scenes in Canberra, BUT, Aekins is lucky nothing is falling on him. The slump seems to have hit ever since CNK got injured. Probably a much bigger loss to the team than we really notice?

SHITE! Didn’t realise I have Leniu at Mid (due to Crichton)…

Would you make a trade for a JFH instead of McCullough in order to not play Leniu (means playing one of Leniu/Ramsay/Laurie in 17 spot)

    OR

Would you take a Leniu 30 seeing as Crichton will be back after Origin (assuming Origin counts for his suspension) and take Macca at 17 spot.

Pretty much JFH + Leniu/Ramsay/Laurie verses McCullough + Leniu

CNK really helps organize the line. They miss a lot without him.

I think just take the hit with Leniu. Not super convinced by JFH as a long-term option.

271k so even cheaper. Definitely has some potential, was looking at putting together a decent score till Hiroti caught him. I don’t see any reason why he can’t average 40s if he can stay there

Joey in Immortal Behaviour suggests Latrell is going to be left and Turbo right centres. If you aren't on it already after MS and I's posts, honestly drop the woeful footy show and any other NRL multimedia you consume and get on Freddy and the 8th and Immortal Behaviour on youtube. Absolutely classic with plenty of fun woven in.

The latest Immortal Behaviour is one of the all time greats, Joey spins some great yarns about backing up a game on Saturday after winning an Origin series on the Wednesday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zizF4pcE8Q4

    I’m thinking something similar.

Can go as high as Lucy with my second trade. Will probably hold off and make the moves next week.
Ramsey just gives me 17 for the week and 300k for next week

I don't think you can really "blame" a depth player for anything - they're just not as good as who they're replacing (hence being a depth player).

On the other hand a senior player stirring shit / coach being a dick / media sexing up a story - is more worthy of criticism
