Terrible weekend for my squad. I'd accepted and actually dealt with my work H2H loss - when I usually let it get me down - but the score is grotesque to look at. I usually hate the bye period (as a fan of watching footy, but also for Fantasy), but looking forward to it this year. Can't even compute how many injured/suspended guys I have in my team at the moment, and hoping the next few weeks balances this out a bit.
Hoping, but not hopeful.
Onwards and upwards. Hope y'all fared a bit better.

Or am I, as I suspect, clutching at Rnd 13 straws?

Wighton in the 14 covers the backline anyway.
Not sure there is much strategy to 18th man given its pretty unlikely. I guess if you have a utility on the bench already, it probably makes the most sense to have a versatile forward at 18th man, imo.

It's *really* unlikely. They should really have to choose 18th man from a bye team. #SaltyApiOwners

(Although, glass half full, Api not playing R13 will stop people buying him and if he's a season gun at least now he'll be a POD gun)

When you reverse your Walker to CHN trade so you can get Laurie's 69 points, only to have CHN score 87.
On top of that i get Robert's 45 because of Schuster.
FUCK !

Try having Starlings 14 over Laurie's 69 and not getting anything for Schuster being out.

878 for me this week, down ~1500 spots to 5459. Somewhat annoying that the trade I saved was Crichton to Hynes, but will have 20 trades heading into this week so hoping to make some gains through the byes!

Good morning all.
What a beautiful day, the rain is raining, the sun is shining (somewhere, but not here) and it's finally bye-round time.
Anyway, I'm thinking of chucking up a bye round thread and creating a mini-bye round comp.
Basically, it would run from R13-R18 (because R18 usually has some bye/origin fall-out).
The team with the highest total points over that period takes the title and all the prestige that comes with it;
Is MS really the best at the bye period (probably), or do you fancy your chances?
Give this a thumbs up (or response) if you're interested, and if there's more than 10 people I'll make it happen.

Is 18 trades coming into this round thin, about even, or got a few in the bag?

I guess it depends if you are going to use all 4 this week and how many you think you need for rd 17 and then the run home

I have 18 as well, not sure what I'll do yet. I think I'll only use one or two trades, at most.
Walker, Simonsson, Schuster (pending injury news) are my only obvious choices for trade outs. Definitely holding Cleary/Haas/Papy/Averillo/Tedesco.. there is probably an argument that Tedesco might get rested a couple of times over the bye period but he's still pretty cheap anyway..
Walker to a cheapie is probably the best move to fund round 14 upgrades.
If Leilua is suspended, Blore probably starts and a lot of people will bring him in..
