You're all talking like it's a done deal. Turpin was just made captain, no?

Broncos just need to shift Isaako out. Once Staggs and Haas are back in there, I don't think they're all that bad.

They just switched off - if Isaako didn't brain fart end of the first half, different game imo. Seeing that shit happen completely kills the mojo of a team that's already struggling. They were up for the game and then that happens - you just give up.

Kevvie hooking Isaako won't just be for a 15min rest and a slap on the wrist.. he won't be named next week for mine.

Haha can’t predict these things. I have starling too so good for one poor for the other

Hopefully can get a few more weeks of 53-60 from Turpin to st least make some cash. And with Broncos being so light on troops who knows Turpin might get some minutes as a running lock etc

Great start to the bye round for me although feel like a get out of jail free card on captain Hunt

277 from Hunt(C), McCullough, Flegler, Bird. Ranking gone from ~10,100 to ~6300 shows it's still incredibly tight in the rankings.

Regardless of captaining the side in Glenn's absence, Turpin has been pretty average this season for mine - plus our biggest issue is dropping our bundle when things don't go our way and this mental toughness is the value a couple of blokes like Hodgson would bring, so I would be stoked if he made the move.

The blunder by Isaako was deadset woeful but I've seen even some of the best players do stupid shit like that over the years - how the whole team responded after that (and after the even more woeful sin binning) is more of a concern for me than Isaako.
You don't see the Storm 'just give up' when shit doesn't go their way.

And not sure why the fullback keeps coping the blame when our entire defence is so passive and placid.
We are already well and truly on the back foot by the time they break through the middle or sweep out wide.

I think Turpin was made temporary captain because it was the safe choice for a team constantly under fire in the media. The other three realistic options all bring negative attention because of their recent off field 'issues' (Haas, Lodge, Pangai). Don't really think there is anyone else you could give it to.

Turpin is a big problem though. Watch him closely, his service has been really bad this year, he doesnt know what to do out of dummy half most of the time. I like him and he tries his best but he's out well of his depth if he doesnt find some improvement and fast. He looked pretty sharp when he first game into the NRL but have to remember he wasn't even a dominant player in Q CUP.

Not sure if Hodgson would even be immediate.. just a guessing game at the moment. Our cap situation still isn't great afaik. I guess we need to see what happens with Lodge.

Everyone always assumes most transfer talks are for immediate release, but I assume Hodgson is for next year, if he signs at all.

Any diehard Wests fans want to spruik their club to me with some genuine Tiger bias? Or you guys only know about self deprecating fandom? (Totally get it, I followed Souths in the 90s). Just can’t work out how they are paying 2.65 to beat a Penrith team missing their halves and half their forward pack. Surely this is the bookies upset of the round? As bad as they can be this season, surely a full compliment versus 6/7 outs has to translate in the modern game.

With Honey or just thats it, salt and milk? Cause the Salt and honey sounds alright, just like a salted caramel. Might give it a go and hold back the morning tears until Breakky.

I know its popular to assume its Stick who has upset everyone, but last year every man and his dog was pointing out how we seemed to better when Hodgson wasn't there as he stifled our attack. Aside from the Williams stuff (which also doesn't really suggest the team is upset with the coach), this just looks like the club deciding to adjust the roster after seeing the younger bloke show his potential last year and re-signing him. Year has gone pear shape which is why I could see it being an immediate/mid year release. Makes sense for us, we aren't making the 8, "start the rebuild" Crying or Very sad pale

I put Bird and Alvaro in the EMG too. Dropped 3500 ranks from having no players counting towards my score last night.

With Alvaro I'm pretending he doesn't exist. I had 14 players but now I'll just think like I had 13.
