If it's Turpins service, then playing him for 60 and Paix for 20 has minimal impact. Just dump Turpin and give Paix a run - Broncos are what 3 and 11 - there's nothing to be gained by being conservative.
If it's improving attack from dummy half, then I'd suggest that hasn't been the biggest issue.
I'm not convinced that Turpin is a great or even good player, but the kid has some heart and offers good effort in defence - something that has been an underlying issue for the Broncs IMO.
You're probably 100% correct on what you've said.
I just don't understand the point of selections that appear to be finessing around the make-up of the 17 when the biggest issue has probably been attitude and to gradually lessening degree experience.
They need to improve effort and intensity and manage their rotations so that there's a bit more quality consistency with the 17 on the field.
