How many of Moses's touches were tipping it on to Guth? Approx half.of them? Most of the ones that weren't were turning Nathan Brown inside for a hit-up. It's not really playmaking.

Honestly, I've been watching him closely having owned him for months. It's frustrating, because he's a talent and doesn't go for it enough. Those five minutes where he scored about 50 points at the weekend were great but even more frustrating because if was like "why the fuck have you been hiding that all year?"

As long as he is starting he will be a 45-50 guy, including the random rests Robbo gives him. Over a short time period he might put together a run of 55-60 average and make a bit of cash. Probably don't want him in your best 17 come end of the year but he is more than capable of being 18th man. I think he is one of the best value options on offer

Next two rounds, Hynes down to someone like Talakai when Pap back. Moses across to Lolo/AFB or similar priced forward, Ramsay cashed out to eg Verrills. 12 for Round 17.

Post byes will have around 700k+ so Simo (at 450k) up to Pap and CHN or Schuster to Difita. Maybe enough for a luxury trade of Walsh to Trbo or Brailey to Cook. Hold on for the last 6 rounds white-knuckling 3 or 4 trades.

Best laid plans. Won't work out this way.

I've worked out a similar plan which also requires everything to go perfect, but it's nice to map it out to see if at least a little bit plausible. I think I can get Averillo in and still afford most things I want. It just feels like Lomax who I ignored last year.

This week Laurie, Watson, Fitzgibbon to Harris, SJ, Averillo. Over the next two rounds, four of TPJ, Matterson, Hynes, Brailey, Moses, Fogarty to four of Thompson, Lolo, AFB, SST, ARey, Verills (will see who puts their hands up for selection both for the ins and outs). Let's say it's Matto, Hynes, Moses, Fogarty out for Thompson, SST, Verills, ARey. Ten for round 17. After origin possibly one more game for Burton to see if he plays halfback and a game for Jones if his BE is still low before them becoming Fifita and Papenhuizen. Then possibly someone like CHN out for Cook. Would leave:

Bird Averillo
Teddy Pappy Walsh

Harris TPJ Koro Brailey

ARey Peachey Verills Simmo

Currently about 300k short on current prices, but Jones making money, CHN and Fog maybe a little, Pappy should lose money (or Latrell or Ponga might be the play). Probably need to make Thompson AFB instead. And yes, white knuckle it with a couple of trades for the run home.

I think it's a factor of the way the Eels have been knocked out the last few years. Moses doesn't have the talent to be a Thurston tier player where every single thing runs through him and that's okay. It means Eels need to spread the load a little bit in attack, but when the game is on the line he is absolutely the number 1 guy. There is an element of spreading the touches to Brown to give him experience heading into the finals.

That 5 minute period where Moses was running the sweep line down the blind with Gutho and Brown on the open was the best Moses has looked all year and exactly what the Eels have been setting up for.

Because I am trading so many before round 17 Moses is on the list of possible outs but I still believe he is a capable of being a season long keeper

You won't want to own Koro in the H2H finals when Panthers are resting him in preparation for NRL finals. Will look a lot like rounds 8-12 this year

This morning I was set on selling him for Fifita but now I've gone all Rabbits and back flipped on the idea. I think I'll end up holding now and hope that his minutes pick up again. With 80 mins he is a final 17 player, not so much if he keeps getting 50-60 mins. Safe play is to save the trade now and reassess next week I think.

What's Timoko's JS like? Is Croker his only threat? Last I heard Croker had a couple weeks to prove his spot in the team and that was a weak or two ago?

Koros two good scores are when Cleary didn’t play - just doesn’t have the workload of Macca. And he might get rested for the H2H finals. Think the thumbs up and down is a dud result
