I think Timoko could be a trap and can’t believe a forum full of people repeatedly burned by centres are going there again.

I’d love to have the cajones to take a punt on him. 68 points without a lot of fanfare is impressive work. I mean at which point do you start moving on from older players in the squad no matter what position they hold

He looked bloody solid too. He scored a 45 in his only start at centre last year also (without a try). His 68 seems a bit boosted by a try assist and 32 tackles, but seems like a bit of a Ramien/Olam type player who can average 40's with a few 30 points games mixed in with the odd 50+.

Might give it a week to see how he goes and he could be a Ramsey replacement next week.

As long as he is starting he will be a 45-50 guy, including the random rests Robbo gives him. Over a short time period he might put together a run of 55-60 average and make a bit of cash. Probably don't want him in your best 17 come end of the year but he is more than capable of being 18th man. I think he is one of the best value options on offer

Yeah I like his value but don’t think I have the trades to get in someone like him. Need guns and cows. We’ll see. Just not many MIDs jumping out right now for R17. Lolo looks shit, and AFB hasn’t hit his straps yet and still to drop

Going Laurie to SST and pocketing cash is very tempting though. There’s also Simmo, but he won’t play the Broncos every week

Looking at A Reynolds as well. Great draw, dominant kicker and goals. But yet another HLF in the side

While going Olam to Aitken gets me another Rd17 scorer I don’t feel comfortable trading CTRS.
I’m fairly certain that Olam will hold his spot all year and with the volatility of that position might be best to hold and target other areas of the team

Reckon DCE should donate some of his neck to Junior Paulo. He hasn't got one.

The only trade I feel happy with is Laurie > Verrills.
Lodge > Tauk for a little bit of cash and hopefully similar scoring I’m still unsure about

    Brailey
    Haas, Crichton, Watson
    Matterson, Harris
    Cleary, Hunt
    Peachey, Bird
    Teddy, Hynes, Turbo

    Walsh, Starling, B.Jones, Laurie

    Schuster, Roberts, Kelly , May

    Have $450k and 14 trades

    Watson to Fifita
    Laurie/Starling to Johnson
Starling not starting is hurting but I have a feeling that if I trade him, Hodgson leaves the Raiders the next day
    Roberts to Simmo?

    My rabble this week.

    Brailey
    JFH Taumalolo Harris
    Matterson Leilua
    Cleary(c) Reynolds
    Averillo Mbye
    Hynes Tedesco Walsh

    Macca Moses SJ TPJ
    Turpin Simonsson Roberts Schuster
(I've not worked out a l**p yet using Schuster)

R17 numbers starting to take shape. Cant afford Fifita this week so will have to wait until after origin. Scary not owning him...

Looking ahead, Turpin to Verrills (next week? unless b/es allow a hold) should give me half a mill (inc bank) to upgrade two or three players - so its straightforward to get Fifita back in (maybe Crichton and Cook somehow as well). Hynes to Pap when the time comes.

Short of trades from there though plus I probably need to deal with Mbye/Roberts so r18 onwards will be a slog. Get lucky Johnny!

Holding. This round I was considering cashing out Laurie and going Matto to Fifita but with 11 trades left I've got to try playing conservative.

It's worrying he only has 2 scores above 50 without a try playing 80 minutes this year. However he has had HIA's and sin-binnings affecting his game time.

If he continues stinking it up I can trade him to a R17 player around that price range like SJ and get Fifita another way like trading Hynes out when he's benched.

    More analytics:

This looks at the differences in fantasy points by position in wins vs losses. I was interested in what positions are effected the most by team success.

The red line shows the density (% of total) of a given score for a loss, blue is in a win.

    Few takeaways, most obvious:
    - Backs are most effected by the match result, particularly Fullbacks, Wingers and Centres, probably in that order.
    - Forwards it doesn't matter too much, particularly Locks, but Props/Edges do have more of a chance of going big in a win.
    - Hookers score more consistently in losses, I'm guessing due to tackles

Looking at 4 trades this week also.. down to 7 if I go ahead with it but my team is looking pretty set

    Trades:
    Farnworth / Laurie / BHunt / RTS -> Verrills / SJ / Averillo / Tohu

    Team is looking like:

    JBrai
    Haas - Angus - Tohu
    iPap - Dfifi
    (C)leary - Fog
    Bird - Avo
    Hynes - Teddy - Walsh

    CHN - Nikora - Moses - SJ
    CWatson - Verrils - A.Kelly - Mbye

Any thoughts whether I'm going overkill here? Leaves me with 7 trades and 18kITB.

Injuries a side my team is final(ish) bar Hynes -> Papy and Ponga coming in and maybe Cook post origin. Feedback greatly appreciated!

What are people expecting out of Simonsson? Now that he’s fullback just a safe 30-40 scorer backup that plays R17?

Laurie to Simmo and pocketing 160k seems sound? With only 9 trades though idk if it’s worth it for me personally
