Laurie to Simmo and pocketing 160k seems sound? With only 9 trades though idk if it’s worth it for me personally

I traded Simmo in last week hoping he could score in that 30-40 range and be a decent WFB back-up if I need him. He passed that test and some.

The spot's his to lose. CNK is out for the season and Aekins didn't impress much. I think it's a worthwhile trade.

Yeah assuming most will be trading Simmo to pocket some cash, an extra rd 17 number. Dont think he will be in most teams top 17?

Yeah that’s fair. Definitely not in my 17 (Walsh Ted Hynes ahead of him) but yeah a back up scorer and effectively replaces Laurie as the back up WFB. Cheap (ish) and plays 17. Won’t play the Broncos every week but showed his potential as a scorer. Looked very comfortable at fullback and involved

Not many will have him in their 17 unless this hip pointer injury keeps Teddy out.

His 68 seems a bit boosted by a try assist and 32 tackles, but seems like a bit of a Ramien/Olam type player who can average 40's with a few 30 points games mixed in with the odd 50+.

Might give it a week to see how he goes and he could be a Ramsey replacement next week.

At one point Olam looked liked an Olam-type player who was averaging 40 with a few 30 point games mixed in with the odd 50+, who then went on to score 45, 2, 22, 22, 43...

That said, that kind of scoring is easier to deal with when you pay ~$300k vs +$450k.

Warriors re-signed Curran for a few more years. Brown must rate him, promising sign for owners I hope!

Edit: just found this “Josh is a player of immense talent who is starting to deliver on the promise he has shown since his junior days,” said Vodafone Warriors head coach Nathan Brown.

You will end the season with trades LB.

I’d prefer to have some control over what happens over the last month of the season. Whereas the majority won’t, I think that’s a nice point of difference.

You do you mate, I’m following your progress closely

Was going to hold trades with 13, but as the week rolls on, Laurie and Watson to Verrills and Harris makes sense.

I would love to trade Walker but he is my back-up half so I can't really get anyone decent for him. Avo could be my back=up half but that would just mean I would have to play Roberts which isn't any better.

Yeah but you don't re-sign someone in the top 17 and say "Yeah he goes OK but we got him on the cheap and he'll probably be playing ressies when we're at full strength"
(not saying that's the case, just that coaches are always going to talk their players up)

They trumpeted the re-signed of Jazz and how good a season he was having and how he was improving and then he's dropped out of the 17 the following week.

I fully think Curran has come a long way this season and should be a very good signing for us.

I'm trading him in and playing either him or Jones over Burton this week but it's to stockpile a bit of cash to set up some bigger trades in the future once Jones and Gamble mature.
Will likely take a bit of a hit this week.

    OUT:
    Brailey, Watson, Laurie

    IN:
    Harris, Verrills, Simonsson

Pushes me to 7x r17 with two more to come.

    Future outs:
Jones, Gamble, Hynes (maybe-ins: Fifita, Papenhuyzen, Tauk)

Is Verills playing hooker in your 13? I also want to trade out Brail and Watson but that leaves me with no hookers

I think the play with Burton is to ride him through the Origin/Bye period, hope he grabs 1-2 games at HLF if Cleary has a breather, then come Rd18 assess whether he's a CTR you want in your team or not - then trade or hold accordingly. May hover around $650k at a 45 ave, so plenty of room to make a move after that.

I've got McCullough. Verrills outside the 17 as back-up at least til he's starting (which I hope is soon!)

Lol that stat is so disingenuous it's not even funny. Being first receiver naturally gives him more touches of the ball. Did you watch the game? Hes the service and the show runner, not the bloke throwing cut out passes, poking in grubbers, creating overlaps. He's not the main playmaker, not even close.
