Yeah I'm tempted. I think MS summed it well. He ticks the boxes of primary playmaker, primary kicker and goal kicker, talented ball runner and averaging very well with a high ceiling, dpp and plays rd17 (and passes the eye test Very Happy )

Also plays for the bulldogs who don't win many games so bound to come unstuck at some stage. If that happens at the end of year, great play. If it happens in a couple of weeks, wasted trade. It's a lot of funds to risk on a bulldogs half. that said, I have the funds. I can do fitzgibbon to Averillo on top of my other trades no problem.

I'm not one to care about POD's either, but.....a lot of the leaders have him, got him cheap and now I get to pay full price (overs?) for the same scores going forward. It might be better for me to pick a different "gun" and hope that flannagan or lewis find their way back into the team especially with the dogs tough immediate draw and historic shittiness.

Feels like one of those calls where you get fucked either way.

Currently fighting this same battle in my head. I've said for months I can't pay what he costs, knowing I had him earlier on for a couple of dollars, but here we are now and I'm seriously considering forking out an insane amount of money for him.

On another note, is anyone at all considering Tevaga? Doesn't seem to be anything concrete on how long Egan will be out for, but is there any interest?

I am interested in Tevaga and Talakai but thinking they can probably both wait a week for more clarity.

Bit meh on SST after owning at start of season

SST very close to being on my never-again list, personally. Owned him 2 years ago and he completely underwhelmed me. Had him from the start this year and this year's ownership was even more underwhelming. Would take something special for me to consider him again.

These bloody 4 trade weeks entice you to tear your team to shreds

    Brailey
    Haas, Tino, Watson
    TPJ, Tupouniua
    Cleary, SJ
    Peachey, Olam
    Teddy, Hynes, Walsh

    Turpin, Lodge, Moses, Fog
    Jones, Laurie, Pappy, Schuster

Easy first trade is Laurie to Verrills.

Opens up a lot of moves but don’t think it’s time this week

Nobody getting in Talakai? He'll be 30s or 60s in the second row and fun to watch at least. Possibility of being the winter version of iPap, who cares if his BE is still quite high?

Cashing out two duds so you can turn a peaked cash cow and borderline gun into two uber guns? I like it. Probably borderline between Brailey and Matterson but I'd back yourself there.

Currently looking at this. Any massive reason not to do it?

Pappy / Cotric / Laurie to Averillo / Tohu / Verrills

    My concerns;

    - actually finally getting rid of Pappy after holding him so long. Hate to do it, but holding has been a real bad time.
    - I actually still think there's life left in Laurie and he'll be great cover in R18 for Turbo and Teddy (though I do have Suaali to step in for Teddy) but I also think it's time to move on because at full strength he doesn't make my 17.

I'm not really sure. Do all three trades, or only part of them? With 21K in the bank I need to do three trades to get Tohu and Averillo.

Lack of WFB cover with Walsh and Ted in the side is making me itch. Shoop has been playing ok, but Allan and Okunbur back soon so not sure about JS even if you go for him over Verrills.

Simo over Timiko/Shoupp? Go WFB gun for Nofo and wait on Cleary/Fifita until after 18?

4-6 weeks before Graham comes back if he even does come back this year. Problem is he probably won’t be a keeper unless Graham doesn’t come back

Surprised not much discussion on Bird from non-owners. A 2rf in a center fantasy position. 40 base from doing fk all. All it takes is a couple of sideway slaps and 60 is likely

Because he’s back at CTR in a week or two and has a bye coming up?

    From last thread:

Here’s my mob for the week. Only 1 trade made so far of Momo to Verrills (like Keighran but suspect Verrills will start soon)

$260k and 9 trades left  Embarassed

Can someone have a look as with so little trades I don’t have a lot of breathing room left haha

    Brailey
    Harris Thompson
    Watson
    Cleary SJ
    Peachey Bird
    Teddy
    Hynes Walsh

    Moses Hunt CHN Schuster
    Gamble Manu Laurie Verrills

Have Gamble on the loop as he plays first. If he stinks then Manu will come in. Bird at edge and Peachey in the middle I think will outscore Manu now that he's at centre again

Want to upgrade Laurie as well but then would have no WFB depth if Teddy doesn’t play. Options could be… Averillo, ARey, Tauk? I can afford someone like Cook or Haas too but don’t want Origin players yet - and Haas been pretty ehh recently

I think Watson is a hold if he’s back in the forwards for now - should be good for 45-55 points?

Green are keepers, orange is borderline, and red is a definite trade out at some point
