I think Nathan Brown is a safer bet, he's almost 100k cheaper and playing way more minutes in a much better team.

Does he play any minutes in Rd17 though?

No, but at this point, you can't afford to buy guys for just one round. Lolo's PPM has dropped significantly, and unless I see that increase, I don't think he's worth having at that price. If you must have a R17 guy, then Josh Jackson or Marty Taupau are the guys, but I'd rather spend 100k less and give up one week's scoring, since that 100k will be crucial in my plan to get Fifita back in R18

Ahh so it fits your plan. I wouldn’t dissuade others if that’s what they want to do and want to have a punt on the old Lolo appearing

Anywho for those looking at Brailey alternatives.
Josh Hodgson has a 3 game average of 60, if your not scared of Starling why not take a punt there.

I don't mind the Tolo punt at the price. You know he can tonne up, you're just banking on him turning it around for the remainder of the season to average 50 a week.
A straight swap for someone like Matto is good value, potentially.

JMK has 60+ in his first 2 games back from injury and is 60k cheaper, with better job security (Katoa is in the team but isn't even playing hooker when he does come on), and he gets his points mostly from tackles which he will get playing for a shit team.

Actually looking closer, I don't mind Jackson over Lolo. Only once below 48 this year, never below 40, and DPP.

Depends what you want.
If you just want a consistent 45-55 points every week, he's the man for that, but he has no upside. If you want upside, Murray or Lolo are the guys, they can both go huge (though Lolo has regressed a lot this year with his PPM)

I’ve owned JMK before and he struggled to hit 50s let alone the 60s. I’m not convinced but might not have a choice.

yeah I'm waiting a week on him, if he can bang out another good score in base, then I'll sell Brailey to him.

yeah I noticed this too, looks like a more consistent option compared to JMK.
Another rd 17 option could be Dearden, not a bad EMG option

I will probably end up using Dearden as an enabler.
As long as the Cowboys don’t get pummeled he should put up acceptable numbers

Hmm: it's probably more affordable to run a guy for just one round in round 17 than round 13. Less rounds for the non-round 17 player to make up the difference.

I’ve been thinking all year that I’d eventually bring in Grant, but between his injuries and B Smith carving up and getting good minutes at hooker, I’m not so sure anymore. Really missed the boat on B Smith this year. Got burned by him last year and presumed he wouldn’t be a good option because the Storm would use Grant for as close to 80 as they could, but that didn’t really pan out, did it?

I ditched BSmith after round 1... a bit of a knee-jerk reaction thinking he would eventually lose mins to Grant. I didn't feel bad about this decision until he started scoring well after round 8. kudos to MTB who has a lot more patience...
