If Cowboys have a positive covid test they may need to postpone their match against Newy this week.

NRL have confirmed the fixture will not be scrapped, and would need to be played

I'm starting to think it's worth going Cleary -> Turbo now, then Hynes back to Cleary later. Was gonna do Hynes to Turbo at some point, so it's (touch wood) only one extra trade.

Turbo against the Dogs in the afternoon with a decent forecast is just too scary.

Double game week would be great

Bring in Taumalolo and captain him for the week they play twice (probably still score less than 1 game from Cleary)

I have thought that. But I'll go SJ and Harris instead who should both play every game the rest of the year if all goes well. Banking on Turbo missing 18 also since they play Friday after Origin.

I’m nowhere this year, crap team, low value, but still have 12 trades. so Cleary/Flegler out to Johnson/Jackson. Originally was going to be Fog/Matto out, same ins, but keeping and playing them is better than playing Gamble/Verrills surely? Plus huge bank for R17/18 movez~!

Adds another dimension to Brailey and Watson decision as well.

Never happened before in NRL but happens regularly in FPL. Basically players that don't play cop a zero, then at a later game week have 2 scores. If that happens even Cowboys/Knights bench players become valuable that week as 2x30s is the same as Tohu scoring 60

Todd Payten is currently isolating as a close contact. He isn't available to coach for 14 days and must isolate at home.

    Players currently being tested now

It depends if they are considered close contacts or casual contacts

Casual contacts isolate until they get a negative test

Close contacts isolate for 2 weeks, regardless of test results.

Payten is a close contact - so he is gone for 2 weeks.

if any player gets a positive result, then likely all players who trained with them will also be close contacts. ie carnage for planning games

I think its still pretty unlikely theyll test positive from being at an outdoor markets at the same time.

Anyway my opinion is irrelevant and theyll get their results in.. time

Ah, ok. Thanks for the explanation. This would definitely throw a spanner in the works if it eventuated. Not sure I would know how to approach it fantasy wise.

the whole Cow family are currently isolating because we spent 90 minutes at a restaurant at the same time as a confirmed case. We ate outdoors, but are all considered close contacts. Unlikely we cauight it directly from whoever had it, but possible we could have got it via wait staff

We've all had 2 negative tests, and have to get a 3rd one on Friday before we'll be allowed out of home isolation. That's what Payten is going through now

Jeez it'd potentially derail some H2H seasons if something like that happened.

Might have been discussed already, but thoughts on whether Averillo CTR is still a long-term keeper now that Flanno is back? Imagine he'll do a lot less kicking, both in general play and for goal and his points will reduce fairly dramatically. He still feels a bit more reliable than most other centres out there, so my intention is to hold, but I'm predicting he'll bleed a lot of cash, and there's some tempting players to trade him to...

Yeah, he's behind Matto, TPJ, Cleary, Curren, Schuster, Walsh and Opacic in the 'leave the team or forever hold your codpiece' stakes.

Nice luxury if you can do it, I guess.

But I would give him to R17 at least. Trades>>Cash right now.

Cleary + B Kelly to Burton + Turbo looks mighty tempting. Would leave me with 11 trades.

Once Cleary is back, Hynes + Burton to Cleary + cashout.
