Does the Eels bench worry you for iPap at all?

I'm looking at Murray or iPap this week. And was leaning Murray with 80k saved, better draw and less volatile minutes with the bench.

Really don’t know what way to go

There was a post earlier about a player needing to score an extra 7 points, every round they play (assuming they miss two games for bye/SOO) than a player who plays 17.

I would argue that the Fifita, DCE, Chrichton all comfortable average more than 7pts a round over Jackson, Taupau and Thompson.

Obviously this is a linear way of thinking, assuming you buy a player and keep them from here on out.

Are you avoiding Simo because you have him? Is he someone worth having? should i have FOMO?

I agree with the theory, not sure of the detail. There's 10 rounds left, right? Something like:

    65 for a top gun x 8 games = 520
    52 for a lower tier gun x 10 games = 520.

    That's a 13 point difference yeah?

10x50=500 for a player who plays out the year

500/9=55.5 average if they play a game less (Bye/Origin)
500/8=62.5 average if they don’t back up (Origin)

Ah i see, that 12.5 a round makes it a but more difficult. Sorry, i should have done the math myself. Difficult to focus when i have this annoying work telecon in my ears as well.

At 7 points a game I get the argument. 13 points definitely muddies the waters at bit

For those trading Cleary, just to remember excess captaincy points for the games he plays in your calculations

If he is 25 points better than next best player, that is 50 points you are missing out on if you don't have him

That said, you could say it makes the case for Fifita over a Taupau compelling because if he misses two games it's a wash, but if he backs up you are well ahead.

I guess the idea is to not make it linear where possible. ie, bring in rd1718 lower tier gun now, and trade in Fifita afterwards for your post origin injury which you're bound to have.

I didn't realise Olam had gotten so cheap. That 2 against the Raiders does look like an outlier. Aside from that he's averaging nearly 40.

Has there been any update on Hampton's recovery? Casualty ward had him as R19-21. Would be a useful one with his dual to get back in for Kelly in a couple of rounds.

Although, would he even get the spot back over Dearden now?

    Mmmmm.....
Currently have enough trades & bank (theoretically) to get Cleary out & back in again. Given my rank I think it's a risk worth taking

    Two questions then

Johnson vs Burton (could also go DCE)
Trbo vs Fifita (or both & wing it with Croker at half this week)

    Leaning towards Johnson and Trbo
