The pool of around 17 players that double as keepers is absolutely dire

WFB options are kinda iffy into this round. I need to get one to field 17, but they're all going to miss games
Turbo 810k
- could be a late out this week
- misses R17
- R18 is 2 days after Origin, likely out
Ponga 760k
- misses R17 bye/origin regardless
- R18 is 3 days after Origin, may or may not backup (against Storm)
Latrell 583k
- best value, may not reach the heights of the others for the year
- plays this Sunday, 1 week turnaround from Origin, think he'd play
- misses R17
- R18 is 5 day turnaround after Origin, may backup
Already have Ted, Hynes and Walsh (out). Thoughts on who you would bring in?

Yeah I'm having a look through possibly "gun" halves to bring in and as far as I can tell my options are Reynolds and.... Townsend?
(already have a Johnson)

I'm just buying DCE in despite playing Origin, he should make up the loss of one match from his other games, plus there's every chance Reynolds plays Origin

Not sure it'll work for me as I'll be making the trades next week. Would feel silly to trade him in and he doesn't play the next two games.
Might actually just leave it til round 18. If he starts then I can bring him in otherwise just leave it til the following round assuming Gamble is still hanging around.

I think the logical solution is Luai 7 and Wighton 6. Koro or Finucane onto the bench. That would cause the least disruption. Assuming they've trained with Wighton as a starter in case Luai or Cleary went down

Do you see your Maryanne walking away?
It's not a Mary, but a Cleary walking away.
Actually, if Payton is in iso for 2 weeks, it's it possible Lolo gets to be Lolo for 2 weeks?

Original plan was to go braily and TPJ.
Im thinking for the purpose of Looping, i might keep TPJ, and trade cleary first given he is playing later in round.

After trading Schuster out several weeks ago, he's another option for a "gun" half to bring in if he's named in round 17. Gets potentially two extra weeks over DCE.
Schuster = 50 x 9 = 450 points
DCE = 65 x 7 = 455 points.
Nothing in it.

Exactly my thinking here.Bethany_B wrote:I think I'm selling Cleary because it can significantly improve my trade-ins this week (getting DCE in).
Best case scenario for Cleary it seems is for him to come back in round 20 and play from then to the finals, which would be 6 games, but I reckon he'll get rested in the last round and could miss round 20 as well if they want to give him one more week's rehab, which would make it 4 games.
DCE by contrast seems like he'll back up in both 16 and 18 (he backed up in R14, 2 days after Origin I), and doesn't have any lingering injuries to rule him out of any more games, so best case he plays 9 games, could be 8 if he gets a rest in R18 but either way, if Cleary only plays 5-6 games then I think DCE can beat him with his 8-9 games
Add to that the fact that the trade frees up 350k that I can use to get Fifita back with.

Ok so trading in a 50 point R17 scorer for 9 rounds earns you 450 points. Trading in a non-R17 scorer this round needs to average >56.25 over 8 rounds to become worth it.
On these grounds, surely a Haas trade in this round is worth it? Surely the big beautiful man can average over 56.25 with the absolute state of the Broncos bench atm.

Looking at the recent Bulldogs minutes, it looks like Josh Jackson's minutes are remaining high whereas Thompson's have taken a slight dip. Jackson seems the better buy to me?

This makes me all the more tempted to trade in Murray over Jackson. Averaging 60 at lock minus his injury game, and a good chance of playing R18 with the Bunnies playing last. Flown under the radar too, only 0.24% ownership in the top 5000.

Alex Johnston $530k
5.2% ownership
plays R17 (as long as Cowboys are available)

Very annoyed owner cause he was looking at a high 50 to 60 score then got sin binned for a play that wasn't even penalised at the time

Kinda stuck between guys like Fifita, DCE and Crichton who miss the bye, or guys like Jackson, Taupau and Thompson who play the extra game.
Really don’t know what way to go

If AJ is scoring tries, Latrell is likely making the last pass in at least half of themOzymandias wrote:
