Seems like Gould's tweet yesterday about waiting a month and then re-assessing was correct.

Pangai gone for Harris is my first trade. Really a no brainer but isn't going to gain me any ground in the short term.

Will wait and see how the first game unfolds (Verrills at 18th) before making further decisions.

The annoying thing is that DiFi and Turbo are unlikely to back up, both playing 2 days after Origin. Same with DCE and I still don't trust Hughes, so none of the 800k+ premiums that I don't already have look like good value as a Cleary trade.

i'm on him to with the Cleary news. I don't own turbo and hoping he can outscore Turbo, unlikely but there is hope!

12 trades left so Cleary and Matto out for SJ and Harris. 460K left in the kitty. Turbo can come in round 18/19.

Currently mulling over Cleary to Taumalolo.

Just have a feeling his fantasy relevant days are behind him

I've only got 8 trades left, so Cleary is staying for mine. Overall rank has dropped to 840 and if I trade out Cleary now it's going to fuck me in my H2H leagues come playoffs and I'm putting my priority there at this point.

I'm going to hold Cleary for now.

I'd already planned for Cleary to be out for Rounds 17 and 18 (Ivan had already said in pressers that they had a management plan in place for the Origin period - so reading between the lines).

At this point I really only have the unexpected loss of him in R16 and I can't improve my trade-ins this week by selling Cleary.

By the time R19 rolls round, it will be 27 days since his injury, so plenty of time to see if it's a return on the earlier or later side of current estimates.

I'm not, however, holding TPJ because I'm kind of fucked and can't.

    Looking at either

    TPJ > Murray

    Or

TPJ and Jones > iPap and Robati

Leaves me with 6 trades if I go with the second. Already have Tohu, Haas, Crichton, Fifita. But I have no other forwards outside of Jones/TPJ (and Peachey I guess if needed).

Holding Cleary myself. Just can't be bothered with the headache of worrying about getting him back in hanging over my head for weeks. Will probably chuck Curran to SJ so my halves won't be too bad.

I think this is where I'm at. I can't really improve my team this week all that much, I'll just have 550k sitting in the bank, might as well have it sitting in Cleary. If I could get a keeper in then I might, but I really only want Fifita/Turbo, maybe Ponga. There's a good chance they'll miss two out of the next three anyway. I guess if I had more trades you could go someone like Jones to a lower tier gun and then back to Cleary.

He is too important to their post-season.

They wont take any risks at all of bringing him back before absolutely necessary

I think I'm selling Cleary because it can significantly improve my trade-ins this week (getting DCE in).

Best case scenario for Cleary it seems is for him to come back in round 20 and play from then to the finals, which would be 6 games, but I reckon he'll get rested in the last round and could miss round 20 as well if they want to give him one more week's rehab, which would make it 4 games.

DCE by contrast seems like he'll back up in both 16 and 18 (he backed up in R14, 2 days after Origin I), and doesn't have any lingering injuries to rule him out of any more games, so best case he plays 9 games, could be 8 if he gets a rest in R18 but either way, if Cleary only plays 5-6 games then I think DCE can beat him with his 8-9 games

Add to that the fact that the trade frees up 350k that I can use to get Fifita back with.
