Verrills and Kris as your 16th and 17th men are probably weaker than most so I’d focus on an upgrade there. Verrills (and Curran) might end up 17th/18th man worthy but no way Kris does. With $203k in the bank, you could turn him into AFB for example.

Wow that's a good point. Didn't even acknowledge that lol, cheers mate really appreciate it

Payten is so stubborn on the issue I wouldn’t be surprised if whoever is caretaking has very strict Lolo minutes instructions.

Any of the fellow golf hacks here know of a way to search if a player is teeing up in any tournament across the weekend without reefing through all fields ?

I can’t imagine him tackling anywhere near as much as he normally does,, and I reckon you’ll find Luai running plays a bit more…guessing his points will dip a bit as a result. Although we all thought that would happen at the start of the year, and look what happened.

I don’t really buy the Cleary might ease back into it argument. He’s always thrown himself into the defensive work and I can’t see that changing once he’s fit enough to return.

    Disagree about TBs.

Plenty of Tbs are gained in all parts of the field, just like metres gained.

I think TBs are attacking stats, or as Bethany calls them, "power" stats. Bit of a grey area though.

They are not a given. Some games there will be lots, some games have few. Some players get lots, some players have few. But some players will get two one week and 8 the next. To me they reflect a player's average and their ceiling rather than their base.

I also count GK as base for the primary goal kicker. You can use their avg, but if it's a new team/kicker or limited stats I go with 8 points for top eight teams and 6 points for bottom eight teams.

Keighran & Lussick drop out of 19

Unless they plan on using Hutchison as utility I’d say they’re gearing up for Verrills big mins

I'd say Hutchinson probably will come in as utility, or possibly Lam to bench. Either way, more promising for Verrills than having Keighran there.

I've been weighing up the hold or sell Cleary dilemma. One problem with the hold option is that when I plan out my trades I find one of my last trades is Burton to Fifita/Turbo (which was always the plan actually after rd18). The problem is if Cleary is out for the longer end of the estimate and I find myself wanting to hold Burton, but positional requirements require me to sell him whilst still holding a Cleary red dot. Or I might find myself playing Simmo instead of Turbo because I'm waiting to sell Burton. I guess an injury would probably come along to sell instead I suppose.

Selling Cleary and getting in Harris and Turbo does actually improve my team this week. And it would result in my final (planned) trade being Burton to Cleary which is nice. It would however probably require a cash out next week and holding about 700k itb until Cleary gets back. So really I'd only be spending the Cleary cash for one week, which isn't ideal, but I don't have the trades to do a lot better I think. Neither option is great.

Just realised a hyper-annoying thing about the Cleary injury as someone who also owns Moses and ARey - if ARey gets SOO he obviously misses Round 17, which was the main part of buying him. If Moses gets it, Parra play the early Friday game Round 18, so he probably misses that.

Hopefully they just shift Luai to 7, bring in Wighton and reward Api for his pointless hanging around with a bench spot.

I wonder if Cleary out means Koro has to step up a bit more? That would be nice, he's been a disappointing own.

nrlphysio: The Warriors are hopeful Reece Walsh will be fit to play in Rd17, but were performing further assessment this afternoon after he came out of post-Origin isolation. Initial indication from Maroons medical staff was a minor hamstring strain, which often results in 2-3wks recovery

After mucking around with the idea of trading Cleary out / in and back again...I've decided that with only 10 trades left trading the Chin is a recipe for disaster. So, I've dumped Schuster & Watson to bring in Murray & JMK. Too sideways??

QLD better not try and nab him again. Need Pong Dong to get through this weekend.

Think at this stage of the season you need either elite guns or bottom base cashout.

Ramitinmyhaaas wrote:Hey lads, got my h2h finals starting in round 19 so things are really getting serious now. This week I am thinking of trading out Cleary and TPJ to Hughes and Turbo which will leave me with this team:
    Brailey
    Ipap Haas Tohu (C)
    Angus Fifi
    Hughes DCE
    Bird Averillo
    Turbo Teddy Simo
    Macca Watson Verills Kris
    Walsh Curran Chambers Suaalii

    7 trades with 203k ITB.

If those trades are good for this week, what would you guys recommend going forward? I'm thinking of upgrading Brailey and maybe someone like Curran too.

    Any feedback is appreciated! Cheers.

Brailey to Cook won't cost you much and could be a good upgrade. I'm going to make this trade this week before Brailey loses anymore cash. A bit more expensive is bringing in Hunt for Brailey. Keeping cash up your sleeve to bring Cleary back in would be wise too.

The decision whether to trade out Cleary or not is going to be season defining for many teams! I've got 13 trades left and have had an average season so I'm going to trade him and strengthen the team elsewhere - maybe keep a small war chest to try and get him back later.

At this stage I’ve got Cleary out for Turbo, probably stupid thinking as I only have 8 trades remaining but at this stage my team looks like this

    7 trades 419k bank

    Brailey
    Haas Crichton Harris
    CHN Matterson
    ARey Moses
    Olam Crichton
    Teddy Hynes Turbo

    Fogarty
    SJ
    Burton
    TPJ

    Verrills
    Jones
    Simonsson
    Walsh

I’m not really sure who to trade TPJ to apart from the obvious Fifita trade but I suppose I could hold a week and use Pangai for a loop? That money could be set aside for getting Cleary back in too I suppose. Any thoughts?
